Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm drinking my usual cup of tea, in silence. The main road not far away sounds busy from here but the only other sound is the fridge humming.

We're having a lazy one I think. I'll iron, do a load of washing, and wash up but that's about it house - wise.

I plan to spend the day crafting - I have a tiny house I want to finish, for my Christmas village, and a couple of Christmas cards I want to make. I could do with making my very scribbley Christmas list into an actual list too, so I can nip to town next week to finish stocking filler shopping!

Dd1 has a history test next week so I expect she'll do some revision for that. She's cooking later on I think; some sort of chicken with noodles and stir fried veg.

I'm not sure about dd2. She was looking forward to starting her new book but I acidentally bought the one before it in the series :(

What about all of you? Anyone up to much? :)

Had a pleasant morning playing video games with ds and drinking lots of hot coffee.

My df dropped by on his way to London to visit my aunt. I was meeting my in the city centre for a catch up and to give her her very belated birthday present so he dropped me off which was good.

Had a lovely afternoon and stopped for yet more coffee before heading home. Served by utterly beautiful Italian man. Proper tall dark and handsome type.

He only slips me his number while dm had gone the loo and I'm staring into space away with the fairies. I didn't even realise what he'd given me at first.

I'm not chasing it because I'm quite happy with dp even if he isn't quite as exotic (or fit tbh) but it was quite the ego boost after a really shitty week (new job didn't work out and getting union involved and hamster died).

It was completely out of the blue, and I have an unpleasant suspicion he did it for a dare (as in terms of looks he can objectively do much better than me. He is tall, slim, chiseled etc and I am short and very dumpy) but I don't really have any real reason to believe that.

If only I was young and single!
