The hash brown frozen mini waffles

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 12/11/2021 15:41

YY to the skin-on fries. And the triple cooked chips are fab too. They also do a box of 4 mini potato dauphinoise (frozen) which are yum. Tea bags, nuts, cheese, their own-brand pepperami sticks, continental meats, and pretty much everything in their 'specially selected' range.

I recently bought their dupe of Drunk Elephant multi peptide moisturiser and IT Cosmetics CC foundation and both are excellent, in fact I find all their makeup dupes to be brilliant)

heinztomatosoup · 12/11/2021 15:46

Dreamies which are Milky Way dupes but better yum!

CherylStreep · 12/11/2021 17:28

Fresh pesto
Specially Selected: chargrilled red pepper relish, beetroot, apple & chilli crackers, lemon curd yogurt.
Lemon/lime/passionfruit curd
Own version of pepperami
Myrrh & tonks perfume
Abbott and Broome Pomegranate & ginger handwash

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 12/11/2021 17:52

Their vegan caramel ice cream is surprisingly delicious.

fussychica · 12/11/2021 18:06

Manchego cheese
Almat washing tablets fab. Tried dishwasher tabs, not impressed.
Fake fever tree tonics not bad
Wine
Day and Night moisturisers are excellent
A&B handwash
Chocolate
Wheat crackers
Unfortunately they discontinued their excellent specially selected muesli and replaced it with a Mornflake version which is crap.

Salted Pretzel Chocolate

PurpleHydrangea1 · 12/11/2021 18:07

Wine, seafood and some chocolate.

Rest of it has gone to shit over the last year or two.

WeeM · 12/11/2021 18:16

I have never seen this salted pretzel chocolate everyone is talking about and I’m in there every week! Will need to look out for it!

The Moser Roth chocolate is lovely. The fresh tropical juice, the posh sticky toffee pudding, the frozen etna pizza, the frozen chicken thigh bites (different coatings), frozen buttermilk chicken thigh burgers, the fever tree dupe tonic, the Number 3 pomegranate candle...think that’s me for now Grin

altforvarmt · 12/11/2021 18:17

Almat washing powder
A&B hand wash
The blond chocolate covered honeycomb is amazing

Alpacahunter · 12/11/2021 18:23

Chilli and garlic olives. They're always the first to go in my local one, but if you pull out the first box then you can usually find some hiding at the back Grin

Dreamscomingtrue · 12/11/2021 18:24

Jerk chicken ready meal. Lovely chicken, very filling and lowish in calories for the portion size.

mogkat · 12/11/2021 18:25

We find all their cereals are good, I've stopped buying Kelloggs etc and get it all from there.

Washing powder, washing up liquid and loo roll all good.

Frozen chips are also better than McCain according to my son haha!

ItsSnotFair · 12/11/2021 18:25

@Chippymunks

Mini Prosecco bottles.
Oooh didn't know they did those Their veggie food is lovely and I'm a committed carnivore
pompomsgalore · 12/11/2021 18:37

For vegans: their nutritional yeast im has a higher nutritional value than the branded one from health food shops.

They also do two types of vegan Nutella which is quite frankly incredible wether you are vegan or not.

MeatyRvita · 12/11/2021 18:48

I honestly like most things we’ve tried.
Current favourites are:

The coffee sachets (caramel latte especially)
The fajita kits (cheap as chips and identical to the name brands)
All the cold meats - Parma ham, salami etc
Their version of Pepsi max (£0.50p)
Magnum washing up liquid
Fake bbq pop chips
Light hot chocolate

BadwordMcGee · 12/11/2021 18:52

@CorrBlimeyGG

Bubbly Mint chocolate.

(Aero but better.)

Oh god no! Like chocolate covered toothpaste!

I love Aldi, and I love aero. But I hate that.

sparkle17 · 12/11/2021 18:56

Is the gin from Aldi good?

Thatsplentyjack · 12/11/2021 19:00

The pulled pork, ribs and crispy ducks with pancakes are really good.

PeriChristmas · 12/11/2021 19:58

Wow thanks everyone 👏👍💕

Loads of their stuff is cruelty free, so the washing powder, women's spray anti-perspirant and the knock off aussie style shampoo and conditioner are winners here. A bargain too.

Cookerhood · 12/11/2021 20:03

The gin is good but not that cheap.
Didn't like the pretzel chocolate which I bight as a result of one of these threads.
The washing powder doesn't dissolve in my drawer, may be better in the drum.
Strawberry jam, diffusers & face cream excellent. And sauv blanc.

Sew3stitch · 12/11/2021 20:08

Gavi wine - £6.99 a bottle and I buy it every week Grin

NannyR · 12/11/2021 20:09

They sell frozen raw prawns with a sauce/butter on them, which cook very quickly and make a quick, tasty meal, there's a garlic and herb one and a Thai coconut one.

NannyGythaOgg · 12/11/2021 22:28

Did anyone see their Twitter thread.

Following on from a certain food chain complaining that Aldi's caterpillar cake was a copy of their 'named' one. Aldi complained that other supermarkets were selling clones of 'Kevin' Grin
