Does anyone else just want to empty out half of all of the contents to see what the rooms are actually like?

here.

It’s not actually cluttered at all. The table has been laid in the kitchen, which gives an impression of Stuff, but the rooms are actually fairly empty. It’s really just the bouffy curtains that makes it look busy. The decor‘s not to my taste but it’s easily fixed.

frumpety · 27/10/2021 11:46

If I was looking in that area I would rather spend the additional 500k doing this beauty up

What is all that stuff everywhere in the kitchen? Why don’t they put it away and how do they make their dinner?!

Anycrispsleft · 27/10/2021 11:58

I can hear the ghost of my wee dad behind me muttering "dust catchers. Dust catchers. All of it."

WaitingForSunshineAndDaisies · 27/10/2021 12:06

I don't think it's that cluttered either - it's decorated to a particular taste, which I think is fine.

The views are amazing, if we had that kind of money (and wanted to move) we'd buy it just for those!

FenceSplinters · 27/10/2021 12:17

It’s beautiful.

The kitchen is a monstrosity of clutter. There is a difference between (1) staging and (2) filling every flat surface with random items.

Is your house @FenceSplinters? Grin

@TSSDNCOP

The views are amazing, you'd never tire of sitting in the sitting room.

The kitchen looks like a cement wedding cake.

😂😂😂

It’s a cracking house but the clutter!!

MuchTooTired · 27/10/2021 12:28

@frumpety I’d much rather have the house you posted, that is absolutely gorgeous!

daisypond · 27/10/2021 12:32

Where is this clutter? The only thing I can see is that it looks like they have set up the kitchen for dining in, with glass plates and stuff. Other than that, it’s normal, indeed not cluttered at all.

Have you looked through all of the photos? We must have very different views on clutter. You can't even walk down one of the halls without random chairs scattered about.

Rainbowsew · 27/10/2021 13:00

I was expecting more clutter given your post, it's not that bad, there's definitely worse out there and the house is big enough to accommodate it.

It's a beautiful place, I'd assume their curtains would go with all their other belongings, therefore they wouldn't put me off Grin

EdgeOfTheSky · 27/10/2021 13:00

Pretty deficient imagination if you can’t see what the rooms are really like.

Great house, decor not my taste but so what?

I do love the Austin Powers red rug.

That's an amazing house for the price 😍

LastToBePicked · 27/10/2021 13:16

Decor not to my taste but it is a lovely house clearly someone has taken a lot of pride in decorating the place.

Guessing they don’t have small children visiting regularly though!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 27/10/2021 13:19

Imagine having to pack all of that when they do sell it. Shock
The removals company will need extra teams of packers and a dozen lorries. Grin

ShirleyPhallus · 27/10/2021 13:25

What a beautiful house. I love the decor, much more vibrant and interesting than the boring greige sludge velvet which is everywhere else

Seriously? You don't see the elaborate crystal candelabra on the kitchen island or the five candlesticks and who knows what else on one of the kitchen counters? It would be impossible to cook in that kitchen without first clearing away all that stuff.

I wish!
NeedAHoliday2021 · 27/10/2021 14:06

It’s massive so they’re trying to make it not look sparse. It isn’t my taste but honestly it’s clean and the “clutter” shows it as a home. There’s loads of space to walk down the corridors. Our current home had drapes like that too - they tried to charge us £800 for them to leave them and I was ShockBlush as we planned to remove them immediately! Didn’t put us off buying the house and that’s so much nicer than the current trend of all manor of greys.

starfishmummy · 27/10/2021 14:08

It's busy and not my taste but easy to see beyond that.

What is of more concern would be sitting on my balcony and looking at a caravan/camp site. And the potential noise.

PanicBuyingSprouts · 27/10/2021 14:18

Didn’t put us off buying the house and that’s so much nicer than the current trend of all manor of greys. There's a bungalow near to us that has been developed. Everything is grey from the shingle in the garden and fence panels to the windows, flooring, radiators, doors, kitchen and bathroom. 'Tis hideous.

That would really bother me as well abs not all campsites enforce quiet at night.

Gorgeous on the outside, a bit cluttered on the inside.

The view is lovely if you're sitting down, can imagine the campsite gets a bit noisy and those low walls are just inviting holidaying children to climb over and into your garden.
