cheapest flat once you get past land for sale, garages for sale, and part-buy is this one at £90k: www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/78172774#/?channel=RES_BUY

cheapest house, suspiciously so at £160k in/near a rather nice area: www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/114572486#/?channel=RES_BUY

ufucoffee · 09/10/2021 22:34

45k for a 3 bedroomed semidetached bungalow but if I go a bit further south to the next county you can get a 2 bedroom terraced house for 11k. Not auction. Not shared ownership. That's the price. No kitchen though. If you want similar that's got a kitchen in that's 14k.

Xfox · 09/10/2021 22:41

£30k - though there are also several for auction with guide price of £5k Confused

Cheapest house www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/114104123#/?channel=RES_BUY 3 bed 60k

Cheapest flat www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/112096460#/?channel=RES_BUY 1 bed 85k

I did ignore land/garages and holiday homes.

Laquila · 09/10/2021 22:41

@ufucoffee is that common near you, houses with no kitchen? (I'm assuming there's a sink and a gas ring type set-up in the living space?) £11k is incredible!

I'm reeling from the £375k 1-bed at in Fife 😱😱😱

I love this! My primary school had a folding dividing door between the classrooms just like it. Wish I could buy it.

Tulips15 · 09/10/2021 22:43

Cheapest flat - 100k.

West Wales -Both nice areas right on coast

TrampolineForMrKite · 09/10/2021 22:49

Cheapest “house” according to RightMove but this looks pretty boat like to me 😂 £199,000

Cheapest actual house £240,000

Studio flat £130,000

I’m throughly depressed at how expensive everything is.

Sunbird24 · 09/10/2021 22:52

1 bed apartment £50k
2 bed bungalow £90k

FatBettyintheCoop · 09/10/2021 23:00
That’s nuts! Who on earth would buy a house where you’re not allowed to view the inside beforehand??

Does that house really have the kitchen in the hallway? It may be cheap, but there's a bloody good reason...

Buy to let anyone....

RagzReturnsRebooted · 09/10/2021 23:14

Rightmove seems to have strange ideas about what counts as 10 miles, because these are definitely more like 15 miles away.
1 bed flat £75k (only 50 years left on lease)
£170k for a 2 bedroom house

Cheapest actually within 10 miles is £120k for a studio flat and £225k for a 2 bedroom house.

We're renting (been here 10 years and currently paying equivalent of about 60% of market rate as LL has only put the rent up once and the house needs a lot of work!) in a lovely village and you can currently get a 1 bed flat for £235k and a small 3 bed house for £350k.

AwaAnBileYerHeid · 09/10/2021 23:15

@FatAnkles

Houseboat might not count? www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/111601877

If not, Flat: www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/79486743

House: www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/109573694

I wouldn't want to live in any of them Sad

I am in love with the houseboat! I've always wanted to live in a houseboat since I was a kid!
HuhWhatNow · 09/10/2021 23:17

Newly renovated 3 bedroom upstairs flat in a block of 4 (two up, two down all separate entrances). All double bedrooms. £50K

3 bedroom semi with garden space (it's all paved) front, side and back plus driveway. £50K last week.

It's a really cheap area though. A 6 bed sold for £160K last year.

gogohm · 09/10/2021 23:27

Flat £160k
House £295k

They have gone up considerably in the past 12 months since we bought, 20% at least

SymbollocksInteractionism · 09/10/2021 23:44

@DrMaryMalone

The two flats you've linked are in completely different areas. You cant compare the property prices in st Andrew's and Dundee!
Leven is also a completely different town

Heartofglass12345 · 09/10/2021 23:57

There's a studio flat for auction starting at £16,000, and a 3 bedroom house starting at £19,000 does that count?

Other than that the cheapest is a 1 bed house or a 2 bed flat for £50,000. A 3 bed maisonette for £52,995.
