Just having a nosey at my online medical records.

There's several references about cake.

@StrychnineInTheSandwiches

at least they referred to you a 'fancy iced cake', rich and resplendent, rather than say, a dull malt loaf.
Do you think the admin person who typed it in fancies me ?

But the Dr has put in my records that just refers to cake (twice) , guess they aren't that into me.

I desperately need you to contact your GP to find out. I know there are GP shortages, I don't care - this is IMPORTANT!

@Cocogreen

How did you get into your online medical records? Are you in a medical job?
Our Dr's surgery have an online system where we can try to book apps, book jabs, repeat perscriptions etc. Just joined it today and I can see brief notes on my medical records.

Fancy iced cake is a clinical code!

See bioportal.bioontology.org/ontologies/RCD/?p=classes&conceptid=http%3A%2F%2Fpurl.bioontology.org%2Fontology%2FRCD%2FUb0Eu

Am guessing it’s a data entry error if you aren’t allergic to cake…….

1happyhippie · 08/10/2021 22:29

This is one of the strangest threads I’ve read!
But now I am totally invested in the meaning behind it 😂
Come on drs of mumsnet. Help us understand.

Gloschick · 08/10/2021 22:29

Boring explanation, but a quick google suggests Ub0eu is an extinct code for school health inspection. Perhaps it has been imported across and the code now means something different. Does the code relate to a time when you were at school?

Everythinghasturnedtoshit · 08/10/2021 22:29

I'm a bit jealous though. My online records just have my vaccinations, allergies and medication. Nothing juicy or delicious like fancy iced cake.

Blaziken · 08/10/2021 22:30

Probably test data in the system that records this. Blame the software!

Whatamesssss · 08/10/2021 22:31

Fancy iced cakes on prescription. No wonder the NHS is on it's knees. Grin

I want a French fancy now.

meadowbleu · 08/10/2021 22:33

I’ll just leave this here www.bettys.co.uk/cakes/fondant-fancies
For fun times.

I’ve heard of death by chocolate too but the iced fancies look nicer.

Important note. Am not employed Betty’s.

CovidCorvid · 08/10/2021 22:34

I have a friend who works at a gp surgery doing medical records, etc….I will ask her tomorrow.

Hairyfriend · 08/10/2021 22:34

My online record showed I chew 1.6KG of chewing tobacco a day. Now I have never even tried chewing tobacco, but I would assume this is an excessive amount for a week, let alone daily consumption!!!

Next time I saw the GP, I asked about it. He kept asking if I was absolutely sure I'd never used that much!!! I've never tried it in my life! Confused

I've worked in healthcare and have no idea what that could be, other than a typo from a dictated record?

BigFatLiar · 08/10/2021 22:36

@ImitationofBeing

I have no allergies. I am not underweight.
Well you wouldn't be underweight with all that cake!
longcoffeebreak · 08/10/2021 22:36

Could it be the acronym? FIC?

Blaziken · 08/10/2021 22:37

It will be due to automated import of lots of medical records. Also explains the chewing tobacco post above Grin

Anyone can see their own records now. Ask your gp for access to the system and you can see anything that's been put online. For eg my notes up to me being 5 years old went missing so I cant see anything from birth to 5. The rest is available to look at.
Abigail12345654321 · 08/10/2021 22:39

It’s a SNOMED code

FelicityBeedle · 08/10/2021 22:39

Yeah looks like some sort of system weirdness, since the random letters after it correspond to those that apply to the code Fancy Iced Cake

JayAlfredPrufrock · 08/10/2021 22:40

MilesOfSand · 08/10/2021 22:43

Any extended, confused silences from the nurse at your last smear test?

Waternoice · 08/10/2021 22:45

Properly guessing but maybe a weird computer transcription of a dictated note, maybe something like ischemic transcribed as iced cakes?

Me too. I have had wine. I often click on a thread and it hurts my head so I just move on. I get so confused on the Feminist one even though I would probably agree.
