@EmKayEm

There are lots of abbreviations.

CTD - Circling the drain
NDBN - Not dead but nearly
FFN - Family fucking nightmare

The NHS have a lot to deal with, allow them some levity

These are old and not been around since SARs became a thing. Certainly no snomed codes for these!
ElvisPresleyHadABaby · 08/10/2021 22:10

Someone get a doctor on here, would love to know what this means!

Whitefire · 08/10/2021 22:10

But with the Christmas biscuit box you were allowed one plain and one fancy. So the plain was a digestive and the fancy was a custard cream. I fear the plain / fancy cake divide would be on a similar line.

Boiledpotatowitch · 08/10/2021 22:10

Come on there's loads gps on here spill the beans need to know now

Everythinghasturnedtoshit · 08/10/2021 22:11

@NiceGerbil

My bet is it's terms used in a different country.

But. That's nonsense actually. OP has it!

Think your probably right. Are snomed codes international? I have no idea.
BertieBotts · 08/10/2021 22:12

Ok found this about how snomed coding works. So I think it does exist as something which would be entered in conjunction with other things.

OP you must have had some injury or illness at some point that was caused by a cake!

BertieBotts · 08/10/2021 22:13

Cake being in the place of hot water in that example.

Everythinghasturnedtoshit · 08/10/2021 22:15

Death by cake then.

Or at least injury by fancy iced cake.

Come OP. Spill

Justaflippertyjibbet · 08/10/2021 22:15

I reckon it is food supplements for underweight patients. I know hospital dietitians can prescribe some food for weight gain.Not that I am in need of these😀

Thoseshoulderslookace · 08/10/2021 22:16

Need to know what this means 🙈

taybert · 08/10/2021 22:16

One of my colleagues and I have a long running competition for the best Read/SNOMED code. My two favourites involve a special sort of tinned pulse and “nosebleed instead of a period” and his all involve aircraft fuselages. We’ve yet to explore cake codes though. Which is an oversight.

Siepie · 08/10/2021 22:17

I once had something very random (not as random as cake!) show up on my medical record because someone had put in the wrong code. Luckily they’d written the actual diagnosis next to it, so it got sorted out.

Do you have any other allergies etc that they could have listed the wrong code for?

ImitationofBeing · 08/10/2021 22:18

Think I'd recall injury by a fancy iced cake. Unless it has caused memory loss

Quite honestly OP, I felt like I was on crack reading your first post 😅🤣 very very odd!

I’m full invested now 🤣

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 08/10/2021 22:19

at least they referred to you a 'fancy iced cake', rich and resplendent, rather than say, a dull malt loaf.

ItsDinah · 08/10/2021 22:19

Ahem, I've experience of working with templates to be used by the attending professional. In some instances they include absurd answers in a bid to ensure that the worker actually pays attention, fills in answers for all the questions and checks what has been entered. The idea is they'll notice - when they're checking- that there should not be references to cake and fill the wretched thing out properly. Sigh. So, I think it is possible that the person has just not bothered to complete the relevant sections with the word "None". Perhaps it was a long time since they had missed breakfast,lunch and afternoonses,due to pressure of work and were distracted by hallucinations of take-away pizza.

ImitationofBeing · 08/10/2021 22:20

I have no allergies.
I am not underweight.

How did you get into your online medical records?
Are you in a medical job?

Everythinghasturnedtoshit · 08/10/2021 22:21

I imagine it was traumatic OP. Luckily your GP recorded it so you wouldn't forget.

NoTimeToDye · 08/10/2021 22:22

Does the Ub0Eu mean something?

Ub = urinary, bladder?
0 = absence of something?
Eu = bacteria?

So it should say 'Bacterial bladder infection' but someone's been having a laugh filling in the descriptions and thought 'Fancy iced cake' would be better???

toocold54 · 08/10/2021 22:23

The only thing I’ve found is when you type in the code it comes up with school health inspection - nothing about cakes though so not much help!

Are the dates relating to when you were in school?
