Can you give me some gift ideas for the woman who has everything ?

It's a significant birthday coming up. Budget of maybe a couple of grand maximum.

She has all the tech she needs, all the perfume, candles, cashmere, jewellery. No to experiences or spas. No to just giving it to charity which I'm sure someone will come up with but without going into detail, it's a well deserved gift

But I'm stuck. Any suggestions?

People have suggested experiences - the OP said no to experiences

someofusdontknowwhy · 04/10/2021 21:00

A full set of Le Creuset

CleopatrasBeautifulNose · 04/10/2021 21:01

The oldest apothecary that is.

What about a Belmond train day?

CleopatrasBeautifulNose · 04/10/2021 21:03
@CleopatrasBeautifulNose I suppose because my mind automatically goes to the red letter days kinda stuff? You know what I mean? But you're right - it can be all sorts

Regarding perfume - believe it or not, she actually has her own perfume. Not only that, other people buy it Grin

She's just ... tricky
Ah, I see. So no to the usual hot air balloon /day at brands hatch type thing but given the right inspiration...
I'm voting for Florence apothecary then. 😆

BatFinksWings · 04/10/2021 21:03

And I love the look of that apothecary. Dreamy!

The problem is .. travelling is just tricky right now isn't it? I'd be loathe to get anything booked

Does she have a chef she admires who could come and cook her dinner for her and 3 choice friends? No idea if that would be in budget but 2k for one nights work might get you Heston Blumenthal or someone... Possibly

RealhousewifeofBarnardCastle · 04/10/2021 21:08

Does she have children? Could you commission a portrait of them?
Is there a place from her childhood that’s meaningful and could you get a poster of it? Or an old photo of someone she loves? Mother, father?

CleopatrasBeautifulNose · 04/10/2021 21:09

I'm sad naked butler didn't have legs. 😆

I would go for a weekend away in a nice hotel somewhere interesting (Stockholm? Vienna?)

BeaLola · 04/10/2021 21:37

A tad niche - personal dance lesson with Anton or a Strictly Pro past or present ?

SarahBellam, what a lovely idea. And what a lovely thing to be able to do. Omg! Afterwards You could pop into the uffizi and see the Caravaggio’s and Botticelli s. Sigh!

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 04/10/2021 21:57

Name a star after her.

Busybubbles · 04/10/2021 22:01

How about story terrace? They interview the recipient and then write a book based on their life. I always thought it seemed like a cool idea for someone who likes to talk and has a few stories to tell.

Florabelle · 04/10/2021 22:02

An original painting that is of a place that means something to her/both of you?

Namebunny · 04/10/2021 22:08

Hire the music room at Leighton house. Hire a cellist. Invite some people. Wonderful!

Can't generally go wrong with a diamond! You get way more for your money if you got to Birmingham jewellery quarter than to a high street shop.
