No, but will probably have a fire tonight.

AwkwardPaws27 · 02/10/2021 16:03

Just cracked and put it on.
I'm on the sofa on mumsnet studying for an exam, already wearing a jumper & have a blanket over my legs. Still cold!

PandoraP · 02/10/2021 16:05

No still windows open here . We rarely put the heating on unless it’s extremely cold, just put more clothes on.

Vinorosso74 · 02/10/2021 16:06

Also London and ours isn't on yet. We're trying not to use it too soon but I have a feeling it won't be too long until we cave.

MissMarplesGoddaughter · 02/10/2021 16:06

Yes, SE London here and DH has put the heating on. It's just so wet and damp and has rained heavily from lunch time onwards. Definitely a change of season.......

DelphiniumBlue · 02/10/2021 16:07

Yes, first day today, and it's not working properly!

Onthegrid · 02/10/2021 16:22

We will be putting ours on later or tomorrow so we can check all is well and that the radiators all work and don’t need bleeding.

Currently doing diy and cooking so warm enough

HardStaringBearFromDarkestPeru · 02/10/2021 16:27

I live in the SE, the thermostat is set at 20c - it's been coming on every morning for a few days. Now it's come on at lunchtime for the first time!

Icequeen01 · 02/10/2021 16:36

SE here and DH has just put the log burner on in the lounge. We have been out shopping and got cold and wet. DH now snoozing on the sofa, I'm MNetting and cats are sprawled out in front of the fire. Perfect ...

Fishinkles · 02/10/2021 16:38

NO! I am in shorts and a jumper...

actiongirl1978 · 02/10/2021 16:41

Hampshire. Sheeting rain but windows all open upstairs.

I'd be melting if we put the heating on.

raingoawaytoday · 02/10/2021 16:42

@shivermetimbers77

Nope, still too hot in here for me! (New build , retains heat like a flipping greenhouse)
Really, we have those new build window air vents that let a really chilly draft, spiders and dust through ( sp?)

Heating came on a 6 am it was lovely, but clicked off since as says house is 21. I'm all for pressing up the themostat, but rising prices means I'll sit with cold feet instead.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 02/10/2021 17:38

Yep just for a while as it is pouring with rain and my Georgian detached* cottage has a tendency to damp. I whack it on in this weather to dry the old girl out. Low though, only 19 degrees and only for a couple of hours.

*to denote all walls exposed / not to brag.

CyclingIsNotOuting · 02/10/2021 17:42

Yes. I’m not happy about it but got outvoted.

lovescats3 · 02/10/2021 17:43

yes, it's cold

bakingdemon · 02/10/2021 17:43

No. We have lovely jumpers,
