Was watching a music countdown the other day and one of the songs from dirty dancing came on, I casually mentioned to my mum how I like the song but dislike the movie.... my mum almost lost her shit....
Like it was a criminal offence to not like it.

These threads never end well, but mint chocolate is the devil's food. Tastes like dirt.

Mint ice cream too. Why would I want to eat chocolate/ ice-cream that tastes like toothpaste?

I always assumed I'd hate Dirty Dancing so only saw it for the first time about 2 years ago. I LOVED it and have watched it many times since. So YABU there.

OTOH baked beans are vile. I also dislike tomato ketchup and tea.

Alcohol and Dogs, on the latter my annoyance is when I’m out with my toddler and dog owners get offended when I don’t make a fuss of their dog when it comes hurtling towards us. Am I the only one this happens to? I’ve had so many dog owners say, “he/she just wants to make friends with you” 🤨🤨 then they walk off in disgust shaking their head!

Am I allowed to say Ru Paul’s Drag Race? I watched the first series to try to fit in at work, but I just didn’t enjoy it.

Also hen parties/baby showers/anything of that ilk makes me cringe inside out for some inexplicable reason.

@Kate3150. I have a dog and totally agree with you.
My dog adores children but weighs 18 kilos and sometimes jumps up.

If I see children, runners, cyclists coming towards us in an area where she’s alllowed off lead I grab her because she could easily knock a toddler over.
Fortunately her recall isn’t bad.

@FelicityBeedle I could have said pretty much exactly that. I rarely seek out music to listen to. I have tried to make an effort in the past as it seemed like the thing to do but as I have got older and please myself more I find I don't bother with it. My family will listen to stuff which is mostly fine. Very occasionally I will find a track actively annoying and ask them to switch it off. If someone puts on something I am familiar with then it might make me happy but it will be because of the things and people I associate it with rather than the music itself.
