Something you dislike but everyone loves

Was watching a music countdown the other day and one of the songs from dirty dancing came on, I casually mentioned to my mum how I like the song but dislike the movie.... my mum almost lost her shit....
Like it was a criminal offence to not like it.
Tell me something you dislike but everyone loves..
Can be anything 😊

@Neonplant - anything. I've tried fiction, crime, lifestyle, true stories, medical ones- I don't enjoy someone warbling in my ear. I don't find them interesting and I'd rather read about what I've listened to than listen to it. I try multiple different types of them to find ones I like and I got nothing out of any of them. Would rather read the book or watch the documentary.

Quite a few of mine have come up already.

Spa days/'treatments'
Make-up
Clothes shopping (food shopping too, for that matter, but I'm not sure how many people love that)
Skiing
Dogs
Beer
Saunas
Cake. Not all cake, by any means. But specifically the fancy cake we get over here in Germany with fruit in jelly and a lot of very fluffy cream and insubstantial sponge, if any. The more pedestrian cakes with fruit and crumble etc can be nice.
Meat - and most fake meat too

Cheesecake
Passion fruit
Chocolate Orange
Craft

Oh yes, tattoos! What is it with them? Staining your skin permanently with a 'picture' that's dodgy at best. Seeing them on someone always makes me feel a bit ill. Same with people painting their faces for football matches etc, or even face paints on children - but tattoos are that bit more permanent Grin

Mine would be takeaway food. It’s always built up as a treat and it just never lives up to it. Expensive as well and in a bigger family there’s always compromise so nobody really gets what they want.

The only takeaway I like is the veggie burger which I used to get sneakily after dropping my son at an activity and would eat by myself before I went back to collect him Blush

Adults liking infantile shit like Disney everything and unicorns and Harry Potter.

It's like there's no adults any more and no-one can control their emotions.

Livebythecoast · 29/09/2021 06:42

I love how different we all are and it would be boring if we all liked the same things. Some of the replies I'm Shock at, thinking how can they not like that, but, like I said, we're all different and that's okay.
Mine are;
Kidney beans
Sprouts
Harry Potter
The noise my cat makes throwing up a hairball (it wakes me from my deepest slumber 🤮)
Iced coffee/tea

MrsLargeEmbodied · 29/09/2021 06:43

prosecco

I feel a bit like this although I feel guilty about it. I’m not usually a mean person but I remember being viscerally annoyed by a colleague who loved Minnie Mouse and collected all things with Minnie Mouse on it - clothes, cups etc. I imagine if I ever went to her house her bedroom would have one of those bedding sets you got when I was a kid with a character plastered all over.
