Was watching a music countdown the other day and one of the songs from dirty dancing came on, I casually mentioned to my mum how I like the song but dislike the movie.... my mum almost lost her shit....
Like it was a criminal offence to not like it.

Why are you conflating not liking dogs with not liking animals? I love animals just not dogs.

Also it's massively embarrassingly dramatic of you to make the jump to people not liking dogs and being serial killers. Imagine being this invested in people liking one particular animal. Fucking wild.

I dislike dogs. I don't wish them harm..it would upset me to see one being mistreated...I just don't want them around me.

As for other animals...I'm fairly ambivalent.

Yeah exactly I don't like dogs much neither does my partner. I think they're needy and dirty. It obviously doesn't mean I'd want to see one mistreated or wish any harm on them. It's actually quite bonkers to jump to that assumption as pp's seemed to.

Different strokes I guess! I saw it a bit differently, I saw him as cold/cut off or repressed in the beginning with the drugs giving him a spark/power to then behave aggressively towards his wife (and others). I get how you could see it that way though!

As for the dogs thing, people are terrified someone who doesn’t like dogs will commit cruelties on humans? Erm no they generally just don’t like dogs. Don’t worry we’re not working our way up to attacking humans in the street.

I think dogs are lovely and I'd love to be a dog person. But I have a visceral, deep seated fear of them and their barking which I have tried very hard to control/overcome, but have as yet failed.
It's quite incredible to me that I'd be regarded as untrustworthy because of this.
