Was watching a music countdown the other day and one of the songs from dirty dancing came on, I casually mentioned to my mum how I like the song but dislike the movie.... my mum almost lost her shit....
Like it was a criminal offence to not like it.

I guess it depends on how you define wonderful marriage. From my perspective it didn’t seem like it and I didn’t get the whole her being a martyr and allowing it to be brought across as if she had broken the marriage up for no reason. It was like for the sake of the plot they had to say oh she couldn’t possibly tell anyone and then he just pushed his way back in. It bugged me, especially how he lied to the police making her look crazy.

Before the drugs They clearly had a great marriage

It was part of the story line that the drugs spoilt the marriage

And even afterwards she clearly loved him.

Would I dob in my terminally ill husband, father of my baby and teen, who doing it for the family (at least when she found out he was), no. Absolutely not

Dog owners who let their pooches jump up at passers-by. I don't care how friendly the dog is, keep it under control please.

Porridge. Just the smell of it is enough to make me heave.

Red wine. I like it, but my digestive system doesn't.

@TedMullins totally agree. I think there's a difference between people that don't want the mess of a dog and saying they aren't a huge dog lover, to actively saying they hate dogs.

It is not just dogs but all animals. I mentioned dogs as there seems to be so many people on this thread who seem to actively dislike dogs.

I am honestly afraid of people who actively don't like animals in this manner. I would not want them in my life. I would be worried about the cruelties they would be capable of (not just against animals but casual cruelty towards others generally).

There was one person who said she was always ready to boot dogs! As though she relished the thought. Terrifying to me that people like this walk amongst us.

Cinnamon - boke. Just boke. Want to ruin a crumble, a pastry or a cake? Sure, add cinnamon and the devil’s work is done. Same for cucumber in anything but that was already mentioned . . .

Lavender makes me laugh. I actually like it but my DH hates it, he thinks it smells faintly of piss.

It’s odd because as I say I like dogs and love children

But I don’t regard those that do not as being in any way “soul less”

Children and dogs in many cases involve unpredictability - and that can be mess, noise, smell, invasion of personal space.

So if you are someone who struggles with any of these things, then animals and / or children would be something you could dislike

Dogs (I have no soul ) - although to be fair lifelong phobia, ubiquity and various local dreadful laissez-faire owners have a lot to do with it
Tea - have tried various ones over the years, just don't like it
Beer - just not for me
Baking and all the wankery that goes with it, especially pre-lockdown and the weird nuances about bringing in cake and all beady eyes locking onto larger folk (like me) in the hope we'd swoop in first
Sport, especially participating. Horrid PE teacher memories as well as remembering how uncoordinated I was
Reality TV
I'm childfree but hate the early gendering of children's clothes, and especially the "sexy" pink princessy rubbish for little girls
Going out out - too much effort, too expensive, too noisy, feeling too old half the time
