A dust collecter. Like a dehumidifier but for dust. Its not natural the amount of dust in my house.

Something that makes ironing either 10 times easier or not needed at all.

Can you tell im spending my weekend doing all my housework 🤦🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
offyougotwantychops · 25/09/2021 18:39

A robot that does all the household chores, and can do the school run.
A pill that makes farts smell pleasant

A gardening device which gets rid of all the weeds without damaging the wanted plants.

BrisbaneandGone · 25/09/2021 18:47

A standing up dog bed for my dog with bad legs, something like a hammock type arrangement with leg holes, maybe a zip right along the underside to get her in out. She can then just kind of dangle when she wants to sleep

Toodlydoo · 25/09/2021 19:02

Instant hair dryer also second the vomiting and nausea, great I’m not puking anymore but do something about the nausea damnit! I also want a robo kitchen

Rantyrantason · 25/09/2021 19:02

@TracyBeakerSoYeah

A device that gets you showered, hair done & make up perfect in 5 -10 mins or less. I'm thinking of perhaps some kind of steam/uv light pod plus a device that you put your head & hair in to be styled & face printer for the make up. Who ever invents that will make trillions & be loved forever for all the extra sleep & time it frees up.
I’d like this but also the opposite. From lying on the sofa to make up off, teeth done, pj’s on and tucked up in bed. I’m thinking of some sort of Wallace and Gromit type of contraption.
Pedallleur · 25/09/2021 19:04

Some kind of clean cold fusion that can power everything from heating to vehicles, cooking etc. Once installed it's self powering so no energy bills, fossil fuels, nuclear waste, emissions etc

WeAreTheHeroes · 25/09/2021 19:36

@Alfxn - yep, I do all of those!

To the pp who mentioned a while body dryer: they have them at Center Parcs in the swimming pool changing rooms.

WeAreTheHeroes · 25/09/2021 19:37

Hydrogen boilers are coming!

BrilloPaddy · 25/09/2021 19:41

Something that generates a high voltage charge (like a cattle prod) that be placed under DH's chair.......... he's on his 5th sodding nap of the day. Hence we can't share a bed as he's awake most of the night Angry

Oh and a dishwasher that will still get things clean even when loaded by a complete bunch of bellends my family who don't get the concept of water being able to get in and out of something........

NigellaSeed · 25/09/2021 19:44

A car that runs on CO2 and produces 02

LockdownCheeseToastie · 25/09/2021 19:51

Tablet sunscreen. Hate all of the bottle and spray versions but have stupid pale skin so need something if I go outside for six months of the year ffs.

NigellaSeed · 25/09/2021 21:03

I feel like sunscreen pills exist already 🤔

NeverHomeAlone · 25/09/2021 21:44

LeavesAre

Shock this is going on my birthday list!

Thank you!

GettingUntrapped · 25/09/2021 21:52

A mothering bot. A device that does any of the so-called mothering shit I don't feel like doing to facilitate the lives of others.

mrsdavegrohl · 25/09/2021 21:58

A half mute button for the TV so when you are watching live TV and the ads come on BLARING AT A RIDICULOUS VOLUME you can half mute it til the programme restarts instead of turning it down then up again

echt · 25/09/2021 21:58

The domestic scenes in the "Total Recall" had video screens to show a fake world in their cramped, windowless apartments.

We should have this, to project an image, say, onto the back of the garden to screen the view of horrible houses, give the illusion of space.

mrsdavegrohl · 25/09/2021 21:59

Although I always think these threads are posted by an inventor with an idea block so I want my cut!!

H1Drangea · 25/09/2021 22:02

@Sparklingwine1

A machine that detects all spiders in the house and safely puts them in the garden
And kills them , no point putting them outside , they just come in again
SummerOfComedy · 25/09/2021 22:05

For those times that you've just been to the hairdressers and had a haircut that you love..
I wish someone would invent a pill you can take every day, to stop your hair growing.
Once you want a change, just stop taking the pill.
(My hair is a bit wild and I like to keep it short.)
It could save us all a fortune, but I don't think hairdressers would be too pleased.
😊

Choccyp1g · 25/09/2021 22:06

@Rummikub

A whole body drier for when I get out the shower Hate drying myself
I use a hairdryer all over.
LandGirlJudy · 25/09/2021 22:16

For ironing, tumble dry for 10 mins with a damp cloth, remove and hang. Never iron here

Only works if you have a tumble drier 😉

Light activated blinds, that can open them and close them when it gets light/dark, so if you’re out all day or just want a lie in without the neighbours thinking you’re lazy, they just open and close automatically

Suzysunflower · 25/09/2021 22:18

A cure for stupidity and ignorance.

Watercoloursky · 25/09/2021 22:19

Some kind of mini windscreen wipers for my specs so I can go out in the rain and not end up half blind!

EdithGrantham · 25/09/2021 22:29

Definitely a teleportation device, I think about it a lot when I'm on any long boring journey. To start with they'd only be at airports and train stations and you'd have to pay for your journey then as the technology becomes cheaper you'd be able to have them installed at your home and just pay an annual upkeep or something.

Also, a replicator like in Star Trek so I don't have to cook/make my own drinks.

Derrymum123 · 25/09/2021 22:33

The Google Map Man (dangling Dave) would put me on the street I wanted to go to by lifting me up in the air, like he does, and dropping me ( from a not too high height) in the place I chose. Save me from driving to my destination.

Nsky · 25/09/2021 22:41

Fir those that hate ironing, buy a steam washing machine, told it helps
