You have £60 burning a hole in your pocket...

Since your January birthday.

What are you buying?

No candles, dd1's already earmarked one for me for Christmas.

No craft stuff as I already have several projects on the go (although I'm easily persuaded to try new stuff...)

No smellies, notebooks, or pens. I'm trying my best to use up what I have already!

Definitely not garden stuff, I do bare minimum out there to keep it tidy & keep the bird feeders topped up.

I thought about a tea pot and some nice tea maybe, if anyone's knowledgeable about these things? I do like to sit in silence with a cuppa, very first thing in a morning, before anyone else is up.

& before anyone jumps in with "it's spending for the sake of it", it may well be but it's my money & I'd like to spend it on something for me; someone here may suggest something that's not occurred to me :)

Some nice earrings from Swarovski?

dizzygirl1 · 18/09/2021 20:18

@katshouldnotswim and @sofakingcool it's a code from the vip club (free to join) I think @mariell has posted a link to it 😁
So so want it but... Can't justify it

Possibly a piece of makeup I wouldn’t usually treat myself to? Or a new pair of trainers

I love that Grin

I’d buy myself some yarn from my friends small business and then have it delivered to my Grandma so she can knit me a cardigan. She only sells DK and sock and I can’t knit that small, my Grandma can.

If getting up early and sitting with a tea is your "thing", then I'd definitely go with the idea of buying a nice tea pot, a tea strainer, one special cup, and some highly expensive tea. Spoil yourself. You'll use it every morning, and itll make you smile.

Try Wee Tea Company

Luckyonetwo · 18/09/2021 20:59

I haven’t tried them but I have heard only good reviews on this company

I need new clothes- for a start I've been wearing a maternity top this summer, my youngest is 9! As it gets colder I'm going to need a couple of jumpers. I keep putting off going shopping because we've had some big expenses lately. £60 won't go far but it's a start!

If I didn't need anything, didn't need things for the house, and felt comfortable enough financially to just treat myself to a real luxury- I'd buy myself some l'occitane shower oil. I had a tiny sample bottle once, it was so lovely.

Window1 · 19/09/2021 09:31

@HungryHippo11

I would probably spend it on a nice meal or day out.

Same a memory/experience type thing.

languagelover96 · 19/09/2021 09:36

Language lessons for sure
New toys and new bed sheets
Paint
Games
A vacation

NatashaRf · 19/09/2021 10:15

Autumn clothes!

Some Lucy & Yak dungarees. Or put it towards winter boots/shoes.

I sent my Dad a bettys tea room hamper for Father's Day this year and it was lovely - so another recommendation if you fancy a hamper OP
