Just booked an appointment and had a confirmation email with the prices on:
£45 cut
£45 foils

So £90 - sounds like a lot - what do you think ? Am I being stingey ?

Sounds cheap to me. I’m paying double that for something similar.

Bearnecessity · 14/09/2021 18:23

£20 every 6 weeks for a cut. I highlight it myself.

LynetteScavo · 14/09/2021 19:13

£50 cut and blow dry - I could go somewhere cheaper, but I've gone back to a hairdresser who used to do my hair years ago - she's very experienced, shows me exactly how to blow dry my hair and is a really lovely person, so it's worth every penny.

Wow! Some bargains here.

For half-head highlights, plus root smudge, plus cut and blow-dry, comes to around $400. Then another $80 minimum for the tip. So about 350 pounds. I live in a major US city on the east coast.

If I also have keratin, the price is well over a thousand. I just tell myself that, as I wear my hair everyday, cost per wear is not so bad.

So about 350 pounds.

Shock How often?

LukeEvansWife · 14/09/2021 19:35

£18 every six to twelve months. I have short hair but I loathe getting my hair cut so I wouldn’t even pay £90 for a year

Cas112 · 14/09/2021 20:27

I was paying £140 and just booked in with a new hairdressers today who are going to charge me £95 and I was really happy to be getting it less than £100 hahaha

Susannahmoody · 14/09/2021 20:29

Paid $25 last week for a trim. Mobile hairdresser

OhGiveUp · 14/09/2021 20:43

£19 for a cut and blow.

GnomeOrMistAndIceGuy · 14/09/2021 20:46

Forty quid for colour, cut and blow dry.

Bloodyavocadoagain · 14/09/2021 20:50

I don’t get mine coloured but cut and blow dry (a trim on blunt bob) is £62 which I think is outrageous but the hairdresser is the only one who has ever managed to make my thin, fine crappy hair look ok. Fortunately it’s slow growing or I’d have to sell a kidney .

PetuniaButterworth · 14/09/2021 21:05

Full head of foils, oplex, cut and blow dry £105. Same but for half head of foils £85

Ruthietuthie · 14/09/2021 22:13

@Coogee, every 10 weeks...Then the $1000 plus treatment every six months.
(I know... it is ridiculous. My thrifty grandmother would be turning in her grave. I do have really nice hair but for that price you would expect it to be diamond-encrusted).
