Pam for scrambled eggs

Boring but posting for traffic. Best pan for scrambled eggs which don’t result in the whole pan being covered in a thin layer of egg?!

Treated myself to a Robert Welch during lockdown and it’s not doing the trick. Cheap sainsburys pan the same. I eat a lot of scrambled egg!

Do them in the microwave problem solved.

NannyR · 06/09/2021 20:22

I use a small Ikea non-stick frying pan - not the cheapest one they do, I think it was around £15. The leftover egg residue just peels off.

ilovetomatoes · 06/09/2021 20:22

Thanks but I prefer the low and slow method where they get really soft and creamy!

Microwave? Heathen!

Doesn't matter which pan you use, it just needs to be hot enough. If you want creamy you need it hot and quick. Fold don't stir.

thelegohooverer · 06/09/2021 20:24

I do mine in the wok and leave it on the heat for a minute or two after I’ve served up. Then I just wipe out the now crispy remains with a kitchen roll.

If you put water on an eggy pan you’ll be scrubbing forever

@Brollypackedforscottishholiday 😂😂😂

I also use a non stick frying pan. (Oxo works)
Low, slow and no messy pan to scrub.

Bontanics · 06/09/2021 20:24

And take it off the heat before it's fully cooked. It will be hy the time it's on the plate.

So much nicer than pan cooked.

Sexnotgender · 06/09/2021 20:26

I bought a Scoville neverstick. It’s excellent. Much better than my bloody expensive greenpan which is a raging pile of crap.

MeredithGreyishblue · 06/09/2021 20:27

It's a cool campaign slogan! Grin

That make was mentioned on another thread recently. Apparently the roasting dishes are very good too.

Djifunrsn · 06/09/2021 20:27

The frying pan version

ilovetomatoes · 06/09/2021 20:28

@userxx noooooooooo!!!!

Green pan
Nooooo. I’ve had a couple and they’re awful.
ilovetomatoes · 06/09/2021 20:29

@Sexnotgender I was thinking green pan so will cross that off my list and look at scoville. Thank you!

I have a Circulon non stick pan, and it’s clean after I cook scrambled eggs...no residue left at all. I use a little butter and never have a problem with anything sticking.

I was so disappointed in green pan. I’ve even bought 2 thinking the first might have just been duff. No, they were both shit.

marmaladehound · 06/09/2021 21:19

I have been looking for this pan for ages! Still not found it. Also tried Green pan, worst pan I have owned! I think within a month it was in the bin.

deste · 06/09/2021 21:34

I melt butter in the non stick pan first and that seems to work. Cook long and slow, don’t let the eggs overheat.
