Anyone ever cancelled their wedding on the day because they were ill?

Am lying in bed on day 3 of a mammoth migraine. Have been sick twice and also on day two of hideously heavy period.

It occurred to me this morning when I crawled out of bed to be sick that if today were my wedding day that I’d spent thousands of pounds on I would literally not be able to pull myself together to at least make it through the day.

I know obviously people do cancel weddings but just wondering how ill would you have to be to cancel on the day and alternatively how ill were you if you managed to struggle through regardless?

Thank you @silentlight. I've been given more of the sumatriptan but double strength plus some Naproxen. I have woken up this morning with a headache but at the moment it is bearable. I don't know what to take. I last took the lower dose of sumatriptan at 4.50 last night. I don't know the system I'm supposed to take the Naproxen with the sumatriptan. I've downloaded the app, thank you.

@SunshineCake I don’t know if you are in the Uk, but if you are then the front of your tablet boxes have a sticker that tell you how much and how often you can take your tablets. If you still have migraine you might be feeling a bit fuzzy still, so it’s worth asking someone to call the hospital on your behalf to find out how you should be taking the tablets.

Naproxen is a pain killer. I do t take it and I don’t know if you take it with the sumatriptan.

Best people to tell you what to take is the hospital, you should not have been discharged if you don’t know how to manage the medication they gave you.

The meds are from the paramedic who was taking duty calls yesterday. He triage before you get an appointment I assumed but he just prescribed the tablets. I have taken one Naproxen as I'm in pain but it's not a full on attack. Hopefully not a mistake.

@MiddleParking

I think bodies can be quite good at sensing these things and holding off until afterwards. Lots of people I know, including me, have a tendency to fall ill (with normal viruses etc, obviously not big stuff) after important/stressful events.
I agree, you can pretty much guarantee that the first couple of days of any time off work is spent feeling ill.
