I've just stock took my freezer

Which has made me feel weirdly content! What have you done today to make you feel like this? I could do with a few different, new tasks to add to my list

PS found a chile con carne at the bottom so now I don't need to cook tomorrow. Hurrah for small wins!

We went to dsis for a roast today, asked the inlaws to pop round and check on dog. When we came home they had cleaned the kids rooms, kitchen, bathroom and mowed the lawns

I am rarely more content than when I have a clean and well ordered fridge

The freezer is not too bad as DDogs are raw fed and their food takes up 3/4 of the freezer space, but the fridge gets out of hand so quickly.

My 17yo self would be horrified

Changed the bedding
Emptied all the bins
Did a load of laundry
Made a tuna salad crunch thing for my lunches (will put it in wraps) and some egg mayo

@Auntienumber8 oooh! Carpet cleaning must go on my list for that satisfied feeling.

i did some weeding and mowed the lawn
and made a lasagne
picked rhubarb and used last year's blackberries from the freezer and made a crumble

my stock take from my freezer is complete nonsense now, i need to do it again

I listed all the kids outgrown clothes on vinted.

I have rearranged 2 bookcases and put a load of stuff I don't want on wallapop and now have more space in my living room and will hopefully make some money

i did a stock take of my herbs and spices cupboard recently but i really should have typed it on an excel spread sheet to put it in an alphabetic order!

I emptied all the dust out of the hoover. It was strangely satisfying (and a bit smelly).

I also have a freezer/cupboard stocktake on my to do list. It's almost autumn, so I need to know how much soup I've got.

I've unlocked my progress on Duolingo Latin
I haven't done any mega decluttering as it's been so hot, but I did the freezer about a month ago (binning all the fresh yeast I froze when the pandemic hit and we were all going to have to make our own bread) and I've chucked out eleventy million photocopied worksheets that I haven't used at school since about 1997.

I cleaned inside/around the kitchen radiator 🤢

Did all the washing from our holiday (5 loads as we take sheets and towels)

Batch cooked lamb casserole and froze 3 meals worth

Made 2 different types of cookies (again I freeze them so DC can always have homemade snacks)

Tidied so robot hoover could work his magic

Got Dc to try on their school clothes so I know what I need to buy (nothing! Hooray for buying next sizes up in the sales and for hand me downs between brothers)

Took a load of too small clothes to be recycled

Bought final stationery DC need for school (not in UK - we have to buy most supplies)

Went food shopping

Decluttered some old soft toys with DC

And all of this ^ is why I am burning out and DH tells me I need to just stop. But I can't. Back at work tomorrow and not looking forward to it at all.

How did you get inside? I keep looking at mine sideways on, hoping nobody else can see what I can see, and then I run away.

I painted bathroom ceiling… now it’s done I fully expected upstairs neighbour to flood the bathroom the 11th time in as many years

I cleaned all the base boards in the kitchen and scrubbed kitchen, utility and hall way skirting boards with a toothbrush. V. Satisfying but took hours.

I donated some bags to the Afghan refugees at a local hotel.

We have upholstered headboards, and I used one of those things you use to brush down coats and whatever (if you go in one direction you catch the dust/hairs, and if you brush in the other direction, it all comes off).

Well - the headboards now look a different colour! They were so dusty. Never occurred to me to use it before.

I cleaned the bannisters yesterday. They are painted white and I thought the dark streaks were the paint wearing off and the wood showing through. Wrong! It was just grime . Cleaned it off with my fool-proof combination of hot water and washing up liquid. And I announced it to the family for praise and medals.

I made lentil soup on Saturday and have some for lunch at work tomorrow.
I also, finally cleaned put the summer house and hoovered it so it is now fit to sit in again. Feel very proud of that as it was minging.

@cakewitch I can't believe how much I've got, which is great! I love having a tick off now stuck to said freezer. Can't wait to start ticking stuff off.
