Which is the best flower delivery company you have used recently?

Just that really, would like to send my mum some flowers for the first time and wondering what's best.
She lives 100 miles away, could I call a florist near her to deliver? Or would a national one be better?

Bloom and Wild

I have had lots of bloom and wild from friends and have never had a problem. They occasionally look scraggy on delivery but as pps have said they perk up and last for days

Local florist every time. I’ve had a lot of flowers recently due to bereavement and those prepared by florist are always best. Don’t use interflora as they just skim commission so you get less for your money. Google and ring local florist.

and don’t do Bloom and Wild, I’ve never had a decent delivery from them sadly

I used to be an Interflora florist.
The shops themselves are independent.
Never use the online order process as it goes to a central processing place, sometimes its passed on to local florists after they've taken a huge cut, sometimes your order is made up from a central warehouse. The local florists hands are tied as they have to produce what they're told, including stem count if you order via the system.

But don't be afraid to ring the florist direct, much better service, cheaper, and far more personal than anything you can order via mail.

M&S - can’t beat them for flowers.

Then again, I’ve had dreadful ones from M&S and good ones. The same with Waitrose. The last M&S ones looked nothing like the picture on the website and half of them were dead.

Bloom & Wild looked poor, but revived.

Bloom and Wild

I use Bloom & Wild a lot (around once a month). ONCE the flowers were unsatisfactory and I got a full refund AND a replacement.
