I couldn’t think of anything I wanted for tea so just had beans on toast for the first time in months and thoroughly enjoyed it.

How often do you have beans on toast and when was the last time?

(Dc don’t like it for some reason.)

Never, its too starchy together for me. I like beans on their own.

freelions · 01/08/2021 20:19

Yesterday

Probably around 30 years ago for me. My DH on the other hand has it about once a week (always with mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce) and my DD about once a month.

Ninkanink · 01/08/2021 20:23

Just baked beans on toast (not as part of a cooked breakfast) was about 21 years ago.

We have baked beans with a cooked breakfast maybe once a month on average.

Seventimesaday · 01/08/2021 20:24

Once a week usually, sometimes with cheese, sometimes with a poached egg.

Greenandcabbagelooking · 01/08/2021 20:24

Never, I hate baked beans, and I hate wet things on toast. They make the toast go soggy.

OverByYer · 01/08/2021 20:24

Not often enough! Love it

Giveszerofox · 01/08/2021 20:25

Yesterday, for supper with mayonnaise 😋

Inclinedtochatter · 01/08/2021 20:26

I had spaghetti hoops on toast yesterday does that count?

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 01/08/2021 20:26

last week, I'd used half the tin and just saw the rest in the fridge. Big thick doorstep toast, well buttered and cut into squares with beans over.

I do quite like cheese too, but it has to be grated and over the toast and under the beans.

My DD has just had surgery for Crohn's and beans on toast is up there for her first proper meal for years. She is so excitedSmile

strawberrymilkshakeisdelicious · 01/08/2021 20:27

I often have it for lunch (with cheese on too & ketchup). I will have it for a few days on the trot every few weeks.

strawberrymilkshakeisdelicious · 01/08/2021 20:28

I'd never ever have it for tea though. It is very clearly a lunch or breakfast meal Grin

FogHornInTheAttic · 01/08/2021 20:28

2 mornings ago

ForeverSinging · 01/08/2021 20:30

I think I was about 2. Apparently I liked beans then.

oneglassandpuzzled · 01/08/2021 20:31

I hate baked beans although everyone else in my family likes them.

It’s often a light Sunday evening meal here if we’ve had a roast for lunch.
CatFacePoodle · 01/08/2021 20:36

About an hour ago. And I'd been dreaming about it all day at work. Sad aren't I?

Longdistance · 01/08/2021 20:40

I haven’t had it in ages. Think I’ll make some tomorrow with Worcestershire sauce and cheese on top.

nancybotwinbloom · 01/08/2021 20:45

I have to really feel like it. But about every six months and I usually have waffles instead of toast

Tryalittlemagic · 01/08/2021 20:49

We have it a couple nights a week. I have teens coming & going so it's quick & easy for them to make themselves when we are not all together for dinner. They sometimes add chopped up sausage to it & scrambled or fried egg.

userxx · 01/08/2021 20:52

Thursday night. I usually have beans on toast at least twice a week. It's one of my favourite things.

FogHornInTheAttic · 01/08/2021 20:56

Mixing butter into the beans in a game changer.

catinboots21 · 01/08/2021 20:57

About 35 years ago when I was force fed it by a friend's mum. I hate, and have always hated baked beans.
