Dd1's disappeared upstairs to watch someone else play Minecraft 🙄

Dd2's down here talking an awful lot & watching her praying mantis hunt his dinner. She wants a bath running so I'll go do that in a minute while she watches Errol.

I'm listening to The Killers. Have been crocheting for a while & will pick it up again while I cook a roast shortly.

Their dad's watching Fast & Furious, the second one I think 🤷‍♀️ I'm going to get him to go to the shop for a bottle of wine later on.

Early start for me with Legopup, short walk in the drizzle. Did some research for our holiday in Cornwall at the end of the month, booking restaurants & planning day trips etc...love doing this.

DS stayed up late last night to watch UFC on tv so got up late. DH also had a bit of a lie in, so I took Legopup into town to see the Yorkshire Day declaration by our Town Crier which was fun, the sun even came out.

After lunch, DS went to the gym, DH is finishing off a bit of work, I'm now relaxing with a large coffee, hoping for a snooze with Legopup before cooking a roast (chicken) & watching Baptiste later. Nice slow Sunday

I am sitting in the living room surrounded by piles of clean washing and several choices of new big (magic) knickers which I have been trying on - yes in the living room- with my beautiful "mother of the groom" dress re DS29's wedding (twice rearranged) two weeks on Tuesday.

My concern is subsequently less my stomach and more my cleavage which draws the eye more then it should since I have gained some weight since I bought the dress. Google tells me the mother of the groom should never have a plunging neck line. I torn between thinking "f*ck Google" and feeling concerned. I have also googled "how to shrink boobs in two week". It's seems to mainly involve starvation. .

DD22 is upstairs cleaning the bathroom. This is uncommon!!

The Labrador is laying in DS2's downstairs bedroom in the doorway glaring at me because he hasn't been walked yet. He won't cross the threshold because Hetty the hoover is out... abandoned, like the laundry, so I can obsess over the the possibly inappropriate dress.

DP (soon to be DH in six weeks) is at work.

Bugger all. DH and I have been slumped in front of the tv watching the Olympics all day. DH has now popped round to his mum's and I need to blitz the house in readiness for a friend coming to stay but I just want to go to sleep. At least I'm standing up now so that's a start!

Happy upcoming weddings! Would your dress tolerate a wee stitch in said décolletage area? Or necklace that fills the most exposed area? Or just go for it and flaunt it

I've just enjoyed a scone with jam & clotted cream in the garden and a large glass of wine, DS (20) out at golf ... I think, haven't actually seen him since Friday as I'm at work by the time he gets up on a Saturday and then he's out when I get home, DH also playing golf (different course), so I have house to myself and it's bliss ... just contemplating a short nap . Had a busy morning, Church, visiting elderly mum & doing a bit of volunteering, shoved a load of washing in the machine so feeling quite virtuous now!

I'm sat on the sofa with my two little dogs. DH is in another room watching F1. DSS is playing computer games in the study and DSD has not emerged from her room yet. I'm feeling a little bit delicate. Not sure if I have a bug or if it's overload from 2 nights out over the weekend.

@MydogWillow thank you- that's actually an excellent idea.. re the stitch.. I don't know why I didn't think of that because I've actually sewn four press studs in and removed them again because they looked wrong! Stitches will do a much better job.. thank you

I'm watching a South Korean drama in my pjs with all the windows open (had my 2nd dose Covid jab yesterday and feel dreadful)

DH has taken both boys out for the day to a minature railway so I can be poorly in peace.

DH is out in the cabin, probably playing his F1 game after watching the race earlier!

I've come up to bed for a lie down as feeling a bit lethargic and got a slight headache! Joys of pregnancy!

I can hear the cat licking probably her arse in the hallway

Reminded myself I need to go to the shop later for stuff for my lunches at work! Might google some recipes for inspiration!

Chores done, 2 out of 3 kids bathed, dinner ready to go but the bloody washing machine has packed up mid wash.

Currently trying to get the filter out (apparently the error message means the filter is blocked) but we can't even get it out to clean it

I have just come outside for a bowl of yoghurt, fruit and nuts and for a change of scene from isolating in my bedroom. D3 of a positive Covid result and awaiting the rest of the families results. Not too poorly but v fed up. Have lost my senses of taste and smell so that has added to my misery. Kids and husband are watching a movie with popcorn.

Currently drinking a gin cocktail while waiting for our dinner of salmon with lemon and dill sauce, new pots and steamed veg to cook. dC's have had their laptops confiscated due to obsessiveness and bad behaviour so are currently arguing about who 'owns' the tv 🙄

DS1 is having a very long winded (scuse the pun) poo while poor DS2 is trapped in the bath in the same room. They're talking about minecraft and cars.

DH is wandering around in a towel doing something completely pointless and I am lying on my bed waiting for them all to bog off so I can go for an extremely long hot bath while DH gets the DCs to bed. 🍸

Ds2 finished the book so we're now watching Catching Fire - I'm drinking red wine, the teenager has emerged from his pit and toad-in-the-hole is in the oven. We did manage a walk earlier but that's as good as it gets.

We’re at our little stable we’re turning into a holiday home.

My husband is laid in the camper reading a book to the dog. My sons playing being a farmer with an assortment of stones and dinosaurs, supposedly the stones are dinosaur eggs, but they won’t hatch into dinosaurs as he is going to sell the eggs to eat.
