I am hosting a bbq tomorrow. there will be 7 adults present. One of veggie (but others will eat veggie food) and also my DM who doesn't eat much.

8 beef burgers + veggie burgers
6 sausages + veggie sausages
Rolls for the burgers and sausages
(Not sure what veggie products are best. Any suggestions?)
Chicken skewers in Moroccan marinade
Halloumi skewers also in Moroccan marinade
Corn on the cob
Basic salad
Moroccan couscous salad
Potato salad
Coleslaw
Relish/cheese slices/beef tomato and iceberg lettuce for the burgers.
Banoffee pie for pudding.

Is that enough? Do I need more burgers/meat/veggie stuff? Thanks!

My bf and DS eat like horses and my friends have good appetites so I would do more than one sausage and burger each. Maybe some chicken? I love bbqd fish.

The best veggie sausages are either quorn or Richmond.

I'd sack all that off and get a shoulder of lamb or joint of beef .so much easier! Halloumi kebabs for the veggies assuming they eat cheese, just veg if not.

There is no other meal where people eat a burger, a sausage, a kebab, bread buns and all the sides. You'll end up chucking loads.

We would eat a lot more than that, but we are greedy buggers and we tend to eat over a good few hours.

Last BBQ I was at I ate:
Burger in a roll
2 sausages
1 marinaded chicken breast
A chicken and veg kebab
A marinaded pork steak
Salad and potatoes
I was too stuffed for pudding though.

We generally cook 5-6 different meat (or veggie alternative) options and cater for at least 1 of each per person but always extra sausages.

This will horrify the mn competitive undereaters, but none of us are fat either.

I would add cheese slices for the burgers, and I’d also fry up a load or onions to put on the hot dogs. Plus ketchup, American mustard and some sort of relish. Sounds delish - can I come?

you can't go wrong with Linda Macartney sausages either.

Urgh no, they taste like cardboard! Get Cauldron Lincolnshire sausages, you won't regret it!

Update if anyone is interested. There was plenty of food and loads left over. Everyone enjoyed it and the banoffee pie was enjoyed by all.
