Work colleague has been outed as a sex offender after security refused to protect him as he was outed by a client to them who saw him at work it seems as though senior management all knew. He is leaving he is going to teach in China who do I report this to I’m very concerned he will groom more children possibly leaving the UK on a false passport he was not charged but struck off from teaching and it is all over the internet. I could not hear it if I did nothing then it came out at a later date please advise me

So he was struck off from teaching but doesn't have a criminal record and therefore isn't on the sex offenders register? This makes no sense.
Given that you don't need to be a qualified teacher to teach abroad (TEFL is different) and the GTC no longer exists, it is irrelevant that he has been struck off, other than for references which they have presumably checked.
I'd be very surprised if this is the whole story if he doesn't have a criminal record or place on the SOR. Are you sure he wasn't falsely accused and it was overturned in court? The DfE don't automatically return you to the register unless you appeal after the court case so maybe he just didn't bother because he didn't want to teach in the UK again after that. And false accusations are rife in teaching - there are far more false accusations than there are paedophiles.

Do you know if he has changed his name. Sex offenders can change their names by deed poll and apply for new passports. DBs checks don’t cover their new names.

I read an article recently but can’t find it now. Here is another one I just googled.

@QuarsntineQueen
In your post you stated:
“And false accusations are rife in teaching - there are far more false accusations than there are paedophiles.”

Could you link to any reports or statistics about this, please?

TheSkatesOfCoachBombay · 01/08/2021 23:17

Somehow I think once they do the checks for his employment and visa he may not be "accepted".

I would send a non emotional matter of fact e-mail to the Chinese embassy making them aware you believe this person may be travelling to China to take employment teaching children. Link the teaching boards decision and leave it as that.

At least you have spoken out and tried.

Many years ago I was in a similar position. The laws and safeguards were more casual then. The man was not a British national. When he was kicked out of one school, he went on to work as a cathedral verger with responsibility for the choir boys FFS. I happened to know the organist and filled him in on the situation. The man then decided to set off for his home country. I asked the relevant embassy if there was anything they could do to prevent him working with children after his return home and they said no. I was very frustrated to be so powerless.

OP as the man concerned has been identified and as MarianneUnfaithful has pointed out it is not factual to say he is a paedophile I think you should get this thread removed. I think it could be libellous.

If you write to the embassy don't say he is a paedophile. As suggested above just send the link. Your intentions are honourable but don't put yourself in a difficult position.

Xdecd · 02/08/2021 13:45

@ancientgran the burden of proof is higher for a criminal trial. You need proof beyond reasonable doubt that the law was broken. It can be difficult to reach that threshold with grooming/sexual abuse cases. For a teacher to be struck off you would only need to show that there was unprofessional behaviour and/or that on the balance of probability the allegations were true.

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 02/08/2021 14:02

Hello @Parsley1234 - we've removed the post identifying the man concerned. As previous posters have said, some of the accusations may be defamatory and so we think, while it's okay to get advice and guidance here, it's probably for the best not to out him.

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 02/08/2021 14:05

You get the death penalty for child sexual abuse in China, sounds like the best place for him. And if its not true he's got nothing to worry about.
