Older kids just called my Grandson CHUCKY in the park!!!

He's nearly 2. never got his his cut during lockdown. His parents have now decided they like it long and its often up in a man-bun. Wouldn't be my choice but he's beautiful and looks rather cool. I just took him to the park and some older boys were pointing and saying 'chucky the child-killer'....and running and hiding. My grandson thought this was a great game. I'm devastated. I didn't say anything and I don't think their parents heard. Not sure how to handle if it happens again.

Honestly OP, i doubt they meant any nastiness towards your GS - try not to attach adults interpretations to kids playing. It's no different to them screaming 'arghhh a monster/ghost/whatever!' - it doesn't mean your GS looks like Chucky (mine does though ) just he's little and they wanted him to chase them.

It can be upsetting to see little ones excited to be included in older kids games when actually they're just being used as a prop - but it sounds like your GS enjoyed it, they probably tired him out and I really doubt any harm was meant.

Does Chucky even have a man-bun? YABVU to call a 2 yr old hairstyle a man-bun! And devastated? Wtf are you going to be like when he goes to high school and kids are actually mean to him?

Baffled that an 8/9yo know who Chucky is... even more baffled that they made the link given he doesn’t sound remotely like him?
