East Midlands it's 27 here now. Was hotter earlier

28 here at the moment in Devon but feels even hotter. Was planning to go to the beach for a swim but it's so hot I can't be bothered to get in the car!

29c about 5 miles from Torquay.

When I got in my car earlier it was reading 38 🥵🥵🥵
The steering wheel and gear stick were nearly too hot to touch. Luckily it cooled to 30 after about 10 mins driving with aircon on full and also windows open. Yuk.

Not coping at all.

Still 27-28 currently in normally cool damp E Lancs (just checked wall thermometer).

My car said 35 just as I went out for the school run. We’ve been melting today. My 5yo didn’t want to go out after school.

Another Plymouth person here. Kids both isolating and hiding from the heat indoors with screens. It’s 27 and gutted we can’t go to the beach. I got a couple of lush outdoor swims at the weekend but feel guilty because the kids can’t go out.

Car said 38° when I got in it this afternoon. Luckily I had three fans and aircon at work today so it was bearable. Colleagues had to put up with my big fat white legs on show though so they fared worse than me!

No idea what to wear tomorrow. It's hell. Can't wait for winter.

Went to hospital appointment with DH at 4pm. It was 32°c. I had to wait in the car as obviously not allowed to go to the appointment with him so had to keep the engine running and air con on otherwise I'd have melted. I had to go with him as it was an eye appointment and he may not have been allowed to drive afterwards. I'm in the West Midlands.

28 degrees apparently. I did a lovely 15 mile bike ride today. DD has been in school then spent the afternoon in the paddling pool at her nan’s.

27-28 in the shade just after lunch. It was 31 inside at teatime. Our house is great for retaining heat in the winter, but ye Gods in the summer it's beyond ridiculous. Blinds and curtains closed whilst in full sun then gradually open the windows as it moves around when it gets 'cooler' outside.

We're in a bungalow and I don't like leaving the windows open overnight as I don't want bugs and worse getting in, but after last night, I think I'm going to have to.

App says 31 -it lies! Proper barometer said it was 36 here earlier, 28 now.

I usually go to a wee village in France this time of year where is mid 30's and I love it.

But I'm stuck at home recovering from surgery and it's too bloody hot in this house no lake/stream to paddle & no cocktails in the spritzed air!!

High 20s in Brighton. I've had the windows open all day and the curtains half shut, and there was a nice pleasant breeze.

Collecting DS1 from after school club while carrying DS2 and wearing a mask it felt too hot. Working from home sitting down it was nice.

26 degrees at 10pm in Liverpool. I love hot weather so am loathe to moan

It was 33 yesterday in my part of South Wales. 30 today. I'm dying.
