Anyone watching the Wimbledon final - who do you want to win?

Djokovic for me :). I like Berrettini too but long term Novak fan. I know he’s not that popular but I met him once (not at a tennis event) and he was nice to me and especially to one of my dc.

Berrettini is putting up a great fight, but ultimately Novak will win I think. I can’t warm to Novak,( seems the crowd can’t either) , I have seen him play and he is the most athletic player, really fast and twists and turns like no ones business , so wonderful to watch, but still can’t take to him, his anti vax stance didn’t help of course, but I found him a bit unloveable before then. But what a great match.

I'd love to see Djokovic get another slam, won't that put him level with Federer and Nadal?

I really like Berrettini too but his time will come.

Sorry, nope. He knows the crowd don't like him much and this is damage limitation.

You just know a truly kind person and he isn't one.

But yeh i think it was always going to be him winning. He is a great player and I'm sure berrettini will be in the final again very soon. They both win £££ so I'm sure that'll soften the blow to berrettini lol

Ah, I think he is genuinely nice - I know one meeting doesn’t make me an expert but honestly, it wasn’t a tennis related thing, and he was so lovely!

On another note - does anyone get the End of Wimbledon dread?! Ever since I was little, the end of the men’s final somehow equalled end of summer.

I don’t like him, but it was nice of him to take that photo - it wasn’t exactly the most convenient moment for him. I think giving away the racket was probably a bit more calculated, but still nice.

So roughly if he doesn't do anything nice, he's nasty. If he does do something nice he's only doing it to look nice and is still nasty.

Just because he plays well doesn't mean everyone needs to like him. And considering there's quite a lot of people who don't like him, he must give off some Kind of vibe for us not to. Don't crease your pants about it.
