Morning all! What are you all up to today?

I'm just having a cuppa...with dd1 who has got up surprisingly early for a Saturday morning Shock. Dd2's still sleeping (I think).

We're off to town shortly for some bits for their dad's birthday & a few other things.

There's one load of washing to be done & the house is fairly clean and tidy so not much planned for when we get in. I'll probably finish the last 3 rows of dd2's blanket before adding a border & the girls will most likely Minecraft.

Sweet chilli beef for tea, with a vegetable stir fry and noodles. Turkey unicorns for dd2. Accompanied by a glass of wine for me Wine

What about all of you? :)

Playing Play Doh with DS while DH has his lie in. Weather is looking grey but dry so it'll be a park visit this afternoon, see how long we can stretch it out for.

I got up early with DS2 and lay on the sofa while he watched TV. Once I felt more human I emptied the dishwasher and did the washing up. We were all meant to be meeting up with friends and family but I'm going to stay home because a child in my class was sent home with a cough yesterday and one of the family members is 93 so it seems too risky. I will just do some work and potter around while they are out.

I'm sat in a coffee shop having a cup of coffee and listening to the tinkly music. It's in a proper cup not a paper one first time in probably since the pandemic started they are using ceramic and it tastes so much nicer. Then I'm having a wonder round some shops.. alone. Quietness mumsnet and coffee. Have a good day everybody.

I'm getting a tattoo today so my daughter will stay with her nanny. Will come back and have lunch with my mum and maybe mooch home to just chill. DD is playing her switch right now, I'm having tea and thinking about getting in the shower.

Isnt it nice how we all have mundane lives? I always imagine everyone is out having a fab time, but most of us are just getting through the day...

I was off on holiday last week and next week. Had a couple of day trips which was fantastic to do something normal and touristy. Got some jobs done round the house that always seem to be pushed to the bottom of the list. Cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday because we are away next week for 4 days in our caravan Smile

I'm not long up it was my lie in. Just had coffee and toast. Dh has gone back to bed with a coffee and ds is playing Minecraft in his room. I'm doing the bedding today and not much else, will have a nice chilled out day. Ds will probably go out to play with the neighbours son later if the rain holds off, it does look a bit dull and overcast. Doesn't usually stop him he built a den in the rain on Monday Smile

@ssd I agree. I love these threads, and the "what's for dinner?" type ones - it's like seeing into a snapshot of other people's lives & it's nice to see we're not the only ones just having a normal day :)

I've just finished a cup of tea in bed and I need to jump in the shower. Then I'm off to the post office to drop off some parcels and then to the butcher and I'll make sausage butties for lunch. I bought a desk for DS and need to somehow manoeuvre it into his room. It weighs a ton so DH might need to dismantle it a bit first. Supermarket this afternoon and chilli for dinner. Hoping I'll get a few rows of my crochet blanket done too.

It's a slow morning for us here. I have a rotten cold and DD was sick yesterday so we're sat on the sofa in pyjamas still and I've just finished coffee number 2 after a disgustingly early wake up.
DH has gone to the tip and is then taking DS to his first birthday party of the year that he's really looking forward to.
I have loads of housework to catch up on and tons of laundry to put away so that's my exciting plan for the day. Powered by even more coffee I imagine.

yeah, his big toe nail was half breaking off...last night. not a peep. slept fine.
then woke up and thought "yeah, now it's bad!"🙄🤣
shoved his foot in my face too to see!

I mean it's better than when DS2 used to climb on me and open my eyes then declare "mummy, you are awake!" 🤣 or any of them sitting on my face with a leaky nappy or the creepy twins staring at me at 3am.....

but urgh, I wanted to sleep in!

Morning!

We were up disgustingly early too as the dog needed to go out earlier than usual! DH took her for a walk, I made pancakes for everyone for breakfast. We’re having duvet day, as the weather is disgusting yet again! I took DC to the trampoline park last night and we’re off to an open air museum tomorrow so I don’t feel too guilty about resting today!

There’s still laundry and housework to be done, we’ll be baking for the week later on and then we’re watching Black Widow and eating pizza for dinner this evening.

I've just finished teaching a lesson online and chatting to the Mum afterwards, have emailed another student and his Mum about a mock he's doing right now and am about to make some toast.

Stayed at parents last night so had a nice relaxed start to the morning and a coffee in their lovely garden.
I'm in work till 5pm. I even came with a packed lunch made by my dad (I'm almost 40 Grin) dc's are with their dad and I'm off to dp's tonight.

We'll probably cook together then if weather decent have a gin round the log burner outside or if raining we'll watch a horror film and scare ourselves senseless.

I am up and on my second coffee ds still in bed dh still at work. I need to get dressed and take ddog out before his grooming appointment this afternoon. Then we are all going to an outdoor music festival tonight whether forecast looks rubbish though

I just hoovered and washed all floors.
Ds is Minecrafting

We are having a bbq - steak burgers jumbo sausages and salad.
WiFi poor or I would watch a little of Virgin River.

Decluttering the toy room also. Did loads yesterday and have a label maker to keep it tidy (for a while anyway)

Currently having cuddles with dd2 (3 weeks old).
Dropping dd1 off at grandparents later then me and dh are going shopping then for a nice tea.

We have had a lazy start to the day. I’ve made a nice cooked breakfast.

We are venturing out to the shops later and have friends for tea tonight 😊

Weather rubbish here too if we would have ventured to park this afternoon.

well, just found out that DH threw up about an hour ago. he's not well and gone back to bed.
There goes my full day of rest, but I don't care because now I'm worried if this is the beginning of repeating the D&V Carnage Of 2018 (when all of the kids came down with a horrible virus within 24 hours, DH joining the day after and it took me over a month to recover from looking after 8 people for 5 days, day & night. the flashbacks make me tremble)

aarrghhhhhh, I don't want to adult today!!

I’m currently watching the handmaids tale with a coffee after a lie in. Going to drop dd1 to work in a bit and then go food shopping. Need to do some washing later, but that’s about it. It’s DHs day to make tea, so I’ll probably have a bath and chill. Should probably do some uni prep, but we’ll see how it goes.

Pork and gooseberry in the slow cooker. So that is dinner sorted.
Bit dull and overcast, so happily I can't see the dust, so don't need to do housework.
Cat's asleep, dd asleep. Nice and quiet here.
Some laundry to do.
A book to read.
Doesn't get much better than this.

Didn't have much planned apart from seeing dgc. However, have just been told a child in my bubble has tested positive so now need to self isolate. Child shouldn't have even been in school as their parent was waiting on their own (positive) pcr test.

Afternoon @Lucysmam. Been up for ages annoyingly but quite productive. Washing no1 done a hung out. Garden tidy up and sorted the veg patch. Need to take DS shopping for a few bits for school trip and scout expedition 😭 ever a fun day out. Was going to my Mum's but she's just blown me out as she is too busy! So may be Wimbledon on telly unless the weather perks up and then the beach 🌞⛱
