Which current kids tv shows do you actually enjoy watching?

Currently being reintroduced to the weird and wonderful world of children’s tv via DS. And I’ve been surprised by how many things I actually quite enjoy!

I am LOVING Small Potatoes, I think it might be the cutest tv show I’ve ever seen. Also Moon and Me, if only for the way Mr Onion randomly says “onions!” Also love singing along to Go Jetters and Grace’s Amazing Machines.

However, I cannot STAND Mr Tumble, although his mild mannered alter ego is just about tolerable.

Anyone else?

We love Moon and Me and Hey Duggee. Numberblocks is also a firm favourite - they have terrific parodies of films like West Side Story, Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

I can’t bear In the Night Garden. Weird and creepy stuff. I’d also like to give Bing a firm talking to so he stops being so whiny.

I enjoy watching Bluey and Cory Carson with my little DDs! Smile

Hey Duggee and Ben and Hollys Little Kingdom!

Bluey is brilliant. Also Hey Duggee

Hawse · 07/07/2021 09:39

Hey Duggee is a staple, but Bluey is new favourite! Also, for older kids, the show Waffles and Mochi on netflix is SO GOOD.

Kanaloa · 07/07/2021 10:01

Oh I used to love in the night garden! I still sing it to ds11 but now he just finds it embarrassing.

At the moment barbie life in the dream house is our Netflix programme, I find myself looking over the top of my book and getting seriously invested.

MummBraTheEverLeaking · 07/07/2021 10:05

Bluey and Hey Duggee, but DD doesn't watch Duggee as much now.

Still watches Bing though 😒

UnalliterativeGeorge · 07/07/2021 10:07

Octonauts and go jetters.

Boomshakalack · 07/07/2021 10:11

Hey Duggee-obvs
Sarah and Duck is so charming
I quite like Charlie and Lola, although it can be a bit annoying.
I like Peppa Pig. Blush
Now my children are older we’ve got into Weird and Wild and the new(ish) Dangermouse has some funny bits.

ClawedButler · 07/07/2021 10:14

Ben and Holly's Magic Kingdrom can be quite fun to watch.

There's a youtuber called Roscoe McGillycuddy who does mash-ups of Peppa Pig episodes - I watch it with my 8 year old and we both laugh out loud, it's hilarious. Probably a bit beyond anyone who still watches Peppa Pig, but for 7 and up it's brilliant.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 07/07/2021 10:14

I miss the Octonauts and Chuggington.

I was a bit surprised to find some of the Barbie films were quite good. (Others were truly terrible)

Lowhum · 07/07/2021 10:14

Bluey, Hey Duggee, Kiri and Lou, Fancy Nancy...lots to be honest!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 07/07/2021 10:16

And who can forget the Stick Song from Hey Duggee?

In The Night Garden was surreal experience.

Bedtime Story was lovely.

ReggaeTramp · 07/07/2021 10:20

I absolutely love Bluey!

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 07/07/2021 10:20

Hey Duggee
Bluey
Molcar

BunnyBerries · 07/07/2021 10:29

Bluey and Hey Duggee.

I'm a firm believer that parents like the fun but cleverly educational, and will allow it to be on loop if it has pleasant background music. Both of these have wonderful music.

DisgruntledPelican · 07/07/2021 10:30

Bluey is a more recent one - it’s been around for a while but only recently on CBeebies. It’s wonderful.

Hey Duggee and Go-Jetters are also excellent.

vampirethriller · 07/07/2021 10:34

Bluey, Kiri and Lou, Small Potatoes.

KeepYellowBoxClear · 07/07/2021 10:36

Bluey is a firm favourite.. I’ve definitely not cried at some of the episodes Blush

Also a fan of Andy in his many forms - his band and his various time travelling adventures.

Bing can get in the bin.

My 2 year old loves Life in the Dreamhouse! I was very anti Barbie at first, until I discovered that she wanted to pursue a career in robotics. 😆 She is sickeningly perfect though - no wonder Skipper hates her. Wink

I'm not even joking but going to CBeebies land and hearing some of the tunes genuinely triggered some kind of minor PTSD response, I felt a suddenly feeling of dread and sadness (I had very bad PND with both of mine) I don't think I enjoyed ANY of them and clearly still affect me today to remind me of that time. Lots of kids programmes/films I like, but not toddlers!

riotlady · 07/07/2021 10:43

I love Nelly and Nora on Netflix, it’s really soothing!

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 07/07/2021 10:44

Teen Titans Go.

It's one of those that is actually funny for adults. The episode where evil Santa tries to destroy Halloween so that Christmas is the only holiday is fab.

As is the one where tea turns them all English and Robin has to battle the queen (who's a villain in this) to save America from another British Invasion.

Bonkers but brilliant.

DeloresPickleRick · 07/07/2021 10:45

Nope, absolutely hated all of the Ceebeebies/Paw Patrol/Disney Jr stage. I did like the subtle sarcastic comments in Ben and Holly and Peppa Pig though. I loved Nanny Plum.

Mine are a bit older now and I quite like the stuff they watch now. The Amazing World of Gumball and Apple and Onion are really funny.

CircleofWillis · 07/07/2021 11:26

I'm impressed by the stuff for older kids. Horrible histories is a favourite in our house for children and adults alike. Really clever and funny and would hold its own against adult comedy.
