Anyone had Pfizer and no impact on periods? I’m worried

I have bad anxiety and have stupidly read a thread about periods changing with the vaccine. Has anyone had Pfizer and all been fine? Both jabs?

Both Pfizer and no impact on periods.

FairFuming · 03/07/2021 23:03

I had 2 Pfizer and noticed no difference other then one was a bit lighter which was probably a coincidence.

Bananasarnie · 03/07/2021 23:10

Catching covid has an impact on periods so better to have the vaccine.

Had jab 1 v early June. Period 2/3 days early and slightly lighter than normal- but could also be stress as I was very busy, anxious and under pressure around when I was due on! I was worried about fertility as no dc yet but want them and I'm gearing my body in that direction.

I'm more worried about the horrendous, spreading rash I haven't been able to shift, and which DP has just suggested might be jab related rather than a particularly stubborn heat rash. I'm praying it's down to a change in fabric conditioner.

Double jabbed (Pfizer) and my periods are all over the shop. I'm inclined to think that's due to being 5 months PP and breastfeeding but not exclusively.

Not exclusively breastfeeding I meant. I think the random periods are entirely due to bf.

I had Pfizer and it totally fudged up my periods. I was 3 weeks late. Which I'd have been fine with if I hadn't been having sex but I've recently acquired a fling with a colleague - first sex in 3 years - and promptly crapped myself!

Periods arrived today. Oh the relief!

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 04/07/2021 02:08

I’ve had both Pfizer and not noticed a significant change. That’s not to say that some women don’t experience a change, of course, plenty of reports to say a minority do. However the chances are low and the impact of having full blown COVID will probably be worse tbh. I haven’t seen anything to suggest there’s a long term impact.

EBearhug · 04/07/2021 02:15

No issues and had both Pfizers.

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 04/07/2021 02:47

Both daughters had Pfizer and their periods were unaffected.

Couple of months later one DD got her period early because (sods law) we went on holiday.

I had Moderna - no change to my periods.

hartof · 04/07/2021 02:53

Had pfizer, second jab and my period started straight after. Then month after I've had a lot of bleeding during ovulation

SD1978 · 04/07/2021 03:06

Pfizer and fine with everything.

Can I ask is this based on personal experience?

I've been trying to read online about whether covid-19 has an impact on menstrual cycles. I found some American articles stating delayed periods are due to 'pandemic stress' or possibly the stress of having covid. So stress rather than the virus itself.

There was no impact except delayed periods mentioned, I wondered if that's the only period-related issue with having the virus.

Changechangychange · 04/07/2021 09:14

No impact on mine, or any of my colleagues. One has become pregnant after both doses (healthcare, we got ours in Dec/Feb), and the rest of us aren’t trying.

thecognoscenti · 04/07/2021 09:18

Even if it does affect your periods it's a temporary blip. It's not permanent. I had no period for about six weeks after my first Pfizer jab and then had one, with no issues. It's just your body taking a moment to deal with something new and then cracking on as normal.

shivawn · 05/07/2021 10:35

Haven't had a period since my first Pfizer shot 6 months ago but that's because I got pregnant immediately after.

Abraxan · 05/07/2021 10:41

No impact for me or for Dd.

Covid knocked them out for a bit.

Backhills · 05/07/2021 12:19

I had Pfizer. No impact after the first one. My period was more than 2 weeks early after the second, but all back to normal from the following month.

I don't think there's any suggestion that it has a lasting effect, only that it can disrupt a cycle or two.

smith5715 · 23/07/2021 11:19

After my 1st Pfizer - my period was a week late.
Had my 2nd Pfizer the other day and have now started spotting - assume my period is coming early (it was due in 10 days time!)

AlphaBetaZeta · 23/07/2021 11:22

No effect on cycle here. Had my second vaccination and fell pregnant 3 weeks later Smile

Purpoole · 23/07/2021 11:22

I had my 1st Pfizer Han last month and noticed no change in my period.
I’m 29, 1 child and in good health

sunshinepunch · 23/07/2021 13:09

No change at all with Pfizer

anon12345678901 · 23/07/2021 13:21

No change with either Pfizer jab, first period after the 2nd jab arrived bang on time yesterday.

onemouseplace · 23/07/2021 13:23

No change whatsoever with either (Pfizer) jab.

waitingvpatiently · 23/07/2021 13:26

Double jabbed and It affected my ovulation.

However I'd rather have had the jab than not, I think the benefits outweigh the risks.
