That's just daft. There's a world of difference between Charlotte and James and Thunder.

Added to that his children are called Olympia, Saint Leo and Thunder. Even amongst his own kids names thunder stands out as gimmicky and daft.

Usain and his wife are Jamaican they probably won't fall into ths category of middle class white English snobbery about names. I'm sure they will be fine in school !

No one is saying he had to name them boring popular white middle class names. He could have chosen something befitting of his Jamaican heritage or any name they liked at all. Instead they looked at their newborn son and chose a name solely for its comedic value.

Hopefully Thunder has a sensible middle name to fall back on.

Honestly yes I do. I highly doubt of all the millions of names they could have chosen from Thunder was selected because it's the one they liked best. Especially as their daughter has Lightening as her middle name. Of course they chose it because it makes an amusing moniker when paired with his surname.

These kids aren't normal kids. They will never need to write a cover letter or write a CV. They could be called dustin and toilet for all anybody cares. Given some of the freak names celebs use for their off spring, saint and Thunder are calm in comparison.
