my brand new t-shirt has arrived just in time to use tonight to cheer on England (they are through to group stage but still)

lunch is ham, mushrooms and mascarpone pizza.

We had houmous and avocado sandwiches

I made an orange and yellow pepper omelette and jacket potato for me and baby, a lot of it ended up on the floor and then baby ate baby crisps while I cleared up. One mum for me,

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba, crochet, how do you have the time! I bought a sewing machine, fabric, patterns for all that time I’d have on mat leave - LOL. Sorry your daughter missed out on saying goodbye to the teacher, these things are a big deal for them aren’t they.

I was having some warmed up pasta from the fridge but then DH wanted it - as he's just got home after back surgery I decided to let him. So now I'm having a Fruit Pastille ice lolly instead.

My heart was really breaking seeing him off as he went to the drs, DP said he was very upset but calmed down by the time he got home. Thanks for your support ladies, for a bit I was really thinking I had done the wrong thing by not taking him.

Has anyone got any Prime Day bargains? I got emailed a £10 voucher surprisingly - apparently for supporting a small business - so I ended up with a little trikes rocking horse and only paid £8 :D

honestly, you did the right thing by letting dad do it. it's good for your DS to learn that he has 2 capable parents!

when DS2 needed surgery they would allow one of us to go with him to just before the op theatre.
he was actually upset to have to choose (because he didn't want the unchosen parent to be sad!) and I thought that was on of the biggest testaments to how he trusted both of us.
he eventually chose DH and it didn't upset me one bit!

btw DD seems to be fine, apart from neck pain and a bit of headache.
I couldn't quite catch the job title of the utterly amazing woman who checked her over (she is also part time paramedic and also does physiotherapy) but she & her supervising GP were both confident it's not meningitis or tonsillitis, just a coincidence that she was presenting a lot of symptoms that could be associated with either.

and as a bonus we left just as her classmates were coming out (the GPs' building is very near the school!) so she could manage to say goodbye to her teacher after all. I even snapped a lovely photo of them!

I'm finally getting my lovely soak in a few minutes. definitely well-deserved 🤣

Thanks zing, she's still trooping on but it's looking like he might need some assistance in entering the world. We'll see.

Just having a small cake and hopefully the grandparents will come round. It's been a tough year with the whole having a baby in a pandemic thing - stills adjusting to the new normal!

Purpley I hope Baby Purpley has a great day tomorrow. We had a very low-key first birthday party for DD. I figured there will be plenty of future opportunities for big (stressful) parties and she won't remember it anyway, so we just embraced the calm.

My big accomplishment is that my "I Know Everything About You" thread made it into Classics. I was kinda secretly hoping to do that someday.
