Apart from a fire, why else might a fire engine be called out in the middle of the night?

A fire engine has been parked outside my house for the last half hour. I can’t see any burning houses or smell any smoke and there doesn’t appear to be any activity going on around the fire engine itself, it’s just sitting there... engine running, lights flashing and the whole shebang.

Any guesses?

Movie scene 😂
"The sweetest thing"
It was hilarious watching as a teen. Not sure if I'd find it as funny as an adult 🤣

They attend in some counties if entry needs to be forced to a property (suicide/murder etc)

To break in after a potentially suspicious death.
One of our neighbours died in his lounge (was seen sometime after by a friend looking in through the bay window when they didn't get a reply to the doorbell). They went inside in breathing apparatus as it could have been a gas or carbon monoxide leak.
