The hand fasting is done, we're just enjoying the dry and fairly warm day sat in a very pretty area eating nice things. DC have loved being part of this! My sister looks radiant.

I'm very sorry, @OhToBeASeahorse. I lurked for almost a decade, but Mumsnet is generally very supportive. x

I find that when I'm suffering from an episode of anxiety, watching one of my favourite childhood shows and really concentrating on the story can help me. Getting lost in a book helps too. It gives my mind something better to focus on and makes me feel safe.

If all else fails, the local mental health team can give you a home visit and help you to make a plan. I have needed this service myself in the past. It certainly helped me.

Please don't try to suffer in silence.
