On our way to the undisclosed idyllic spot in Yorkshire. It's like a magical mystery tour! The mini bus looks so pretty too. I'm more than a bit jealous that my wedding wasn't as cool as this but exh wasn't into 'all that crap..' so we just had registry office and a reception at my in-laws pub. It was lovely but as an alternative/pagan type I'd have loved something like this!!

It's Terry Pratchett *@ElGuardiandenoche*. Among his many, many brilliant books are a series about the Ankh Morpork Night Watch (there's a book of that name but this particular series starts with Guards Guards). Those are the names of some of the watch, but there are many more

As a Pratchett fan myself I love the series but I have to admit I forgot Carrot, so thank you very much for reminding me.

I need to start on Terry Pratchett books, it’s one of those things I know loads of quotes from but never read

@BakeOffRewatch, you really do need to read them, they are fantabulous. Also read Good Omens the collaboration he did with Neil Gaiman, it’s perfect.

Mort is my favourite Terry Pratchett book.

DH (Prattchet fan) says there are a few answers.

1. "The Colour of Magic" -- first in Discworld series, but he doesn't hit his stride until about 4-5 books in.

I was so sad when they didn’t include this in the Good Omens series and just used it as a promotional thing as it’s so funny. Also that they missed out the Four Other Horsemen of the Apocalypse ☹️

Oh yes it takes a few books for it to really get going. I struggled with the ones near the end as they are quite a hefty size!
