Nah! You didn’t miss a post @UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa. We live in a house that is 300+ years old and has been changed and altered and built on over that time. There is an area behind the dining room (which is the oldest room in the house ) that used to be a passage way that has been blocked off and a roof put on to make a storage room. The garden is up the back of the passage/room (no idea when that change happened) and is level with the roof and we think that they got in that way. We were sorting some of the crayon there so the electrician could get to the socket and found a couple boxes of crisps that we had forgotten about and one box had signs of mice nibbling it. So we got humane traps but they avoided those like the plague so we had to go full metal snap trap on them. They’re not avoiding those 😕, peanut butter seems to be favoured. DH is putting the bodies out for the corvids which they seem to be enjoying.

I HATE mice, but your house sounds really cool, so it's more than a fair tradeoff.

@ElGuardiandenoche when we moved in here there was a mouse problem, peanut butter worked a treat. Then I got a cat. Even better
