You can post multiple times but there must be at least one post in between.

@PandemicAtTheDisco

They are cute fluffy things. We don't seem to have any birds around these days except pigeons. My bird table is ignored.
We have our fair share of pigeons as well as seagulls here. We’ve had to put cages over the ground feeders to stop them scoffing the lot as well as some of the bigger corvids so only the smaller birds can get to them. We Had to lower the dishes on our feeder as the bigger birds were standing on them and reaching up to the feeders. Though the jays, magpies and rooks have now learnt how to use the hanging feeders now along with the window feeders. We also have blackbirds, robins, wrens, starlings, great and long tail and blue tits, dunnocks and goldfinch that I can remember off the top of my head. On one memorable day we even had a chough and of course we have our pair of squirrels who the kids have named Rocky and Slappy 🙄
JoveWhenHeSawMyFannysFace · 18/06/2021 00:30

I wonder how many countries don’t have pigeons? They seem to be almost everywhere.

Gingerkittykat · 18/06/2021 00:37

There was a hedgehog in my garden earlier, I've not seen one for a couple of years so am very happy.

My kitten got very excited and wanted to play with it.

I am going to name it Snuffles the 3rd. Snuffles the 1st sadly met his demise on the road and Snuffles the 2nd just disappeared at some point.

ElGuardiandenoche · 18/06/2021 00:42

@MonicaGellerBing

I forgot to order crisps on my online shop
@MonicaGellerBing I have three 90 litre plastic boxes filled with Walker’s crisps if you want some.
PandemicAtTheDisco · 18/06/2021 00:44

I've been in this house almost 10 years and we just don't seem to get anything but pigeons anymore. They've gradually disappeared.

ElGuardiandenoche · 18/06/2021 00:55

That’s a real shame @PandemicAtTheDisco. We only ever really saw pigeons, seagulls and a couple of robins until we got our feeders. We started with one hanging feeder and a window feeder and have gradually got different types of feeder and have slowly seen more and more different types of birds.

One of our highlights has been fledgling blackbirds sitting there being fed buggy bits by mum and dad.

DH has just come in from the garden and said we now have a hedgehog in the garden so he’s put some buggy bits down for him and he is having a good snuffle at it.

PandemicAtTheDisco · 18/06/2021 01:08

We don't have many trees around as everyone has chopped theirs down. Concrete guy moved into a house with a beautiful garden but ripped it all up and concreted everywhere.

Most neighbours have covered their front gardens with stones/pebbles/concrete and have a few baskets or pots. The front gardens are small.

Back gardens are either grass or decrepid decking, concrete and kids toys. One neighbour has three sheds and no garden space.

ElGuardiandenoche · 18/06/2021 01:23

Ugh! What a shame @PandemicAtTheDisco. I suppose that’s all the urbanisation. I forget how lucky I am to live in a very small green city with lots of green space in and around us.
