toyota aygo or fiat 500

Looking to buy a car this afternoon and have a choice of these 2, both automatics.

Toyota Aygo. 2012. 1.0ltr 36,000 miles on clock
fiat 500. 2010. 1.3ltr. 42,000 miles on clock.

The Toyota is £500 cheaper. So I guess on paper looks the better deal but the Fiat looks a bit bigger, maybe a bit nicer to drive? Any thoughts on reliability?

Good car MHIssues
I've never owned one but I've hired one a few times and have that at the back of my mind when I'm ready to buy again.

The Peugeot 107 we test drove was horrible. Seemed really cramped inside, even in the front. The rude was really harsh from the road surface but even the car seemed vibrating and juddery from the engine. The engine sounded fine and had just been serviced so don’t think it was faulty?? Car sales guy said they only have three cylinders so there is a difference but that they’re very reliable and cheap to run. But we hated it.

Wow, my 2011 Ft-500 has 47.5k miles and I thought that was low.

Although in pictures the F-500 looks smaller than T-Aygo, Google says Aygo has shorter length. Anyway, I vote the smaller car.

I'vve had one expensive repair for F-500: replaced power steering, in 8 yrs.

Love my Aygo - never failed an MOT and it’s getting on a bit now. Lovely car to drive and so economical.

BBC are just covering the surge in prices of second hand cars, up to 20% increase over last 5 months. Dealer they interviewed talked about people ringing him up trying to “gazump”…offering him more than the asking price for a just sold car.
