I appear to have developed a few footballer crushes

Marcus Rashford for obvious reasons - I'm old enough to be his mum as well.

And my latest one Kaspar Schmeichel he certainly doesn't take after his dad for looks!

Frank Lampard has definitely aged better than some from that era. I had a bit of a thing for Lee Sharpe too.

Emlyn Hughes (I know he’s dead, but he was my first love).

I've met a few professional footballers through my work (NHS) and most of them had a problem stringing a whole sentence together.

One told me all medical procedures had to be approved by his coach after steroid abuse showed up in both urine and bloods. One had a brain contusion - he was 23. The last one couldn't read properly and wouldn't stop trying to touch me.

None of them were in the least bit attractive.
