Sofas
Loo roll
Dishwasher tablets
Salmon!

And bin bags- I really resent buying something that’s purpose is to be thrown away!

Nandocushion · 08/06/2021 22:15

Hoovers

MorrisZapp · 08/06/2021 22:17

I always like the cheapest pillows in the shop best! Three quid is about my level

TatianaBis · 08/06/2021 22:18

Reupholstering.

It costs so you much you might as well just buy a new one.

TatianaBis · 08/06/2021 22:20

Rent.

I saved up to buy a flat because I was so incensed at how much money was lost on rent.

KingdomScrolls · 08/06/2021 22:20

Petrol, I never really understood how the price per litre translated to how far you could drive in terms of cost, eg it costs £25 to get to PIL and back, DS just thinks brilliant going to see grandma. Although to be honest I think petrol is a lot more expensive now than when I was a child

MustardRose · 08/06/2021 22:21

Riding lessons.

PieonaBarm · 08/06/2021 22:21

Foil. Hate buying it!

fruityloopy · 08/06/2021 22:22

School shoes.
Sanitary products
And as someone has just said houses..

RAOK · 08/06/2021 22:23

Yes to sofas!

Also petrol, food and utility bills.

So many demands on your money.

@gggrrrargh

My family don’t let me forget that when I first found out how much a sofa cost I was planning to make my own out of chicken wire and paper mache..
I was going to say 'sofas' as well.

I think your idea has legs

Wood, nails and building things - life isn't built by 'meccano' and 'lego' apparently.....

willieversleep · 08/06/2021 22:34

My taste. I'm always picking the most expensive thing in the shop

Skysblue · 08/06/2021 22:34

Pets! Not really an ‘item’ I know but my god the ££££.

ScrollingLeaves · 08/06/2021 22:34

Life

cafenoirbiscuit · 08/06/2021 22:35

Going to the cinema - once we’ve paid to go in and got sweets and a drink that’s half a week’s food shopping money gone

StarryStarrySocks · 08/06/2021 22:36

Holidays! As a child I always wondered why we didn't go abroad. Well, now I know!
