Picture postcards from la by Joshua kadison
I love the song so much I named my son after him
It’s very bittersweet that there as no picture postcards from la as Rachel gives up on her dreams

Dire Straits - Romeo and Juliet

AngelsWithSilverWings · 15/06/2021 22:29

So many great songs listed on here.

This is so hard but mine would be Enjoy the Silence , Depeche Mode.

The line "All I ever wanted , all I ever needed is here in my arms" makes me well up every time I hear it and especially when at a live show. Just makes me think of DH and the DCs and how lucky I am to have them.

No hesitation on this one: Pirate King sung by Kevin Kline.

If you have never heard it, it's here:

Thunder Road - Springsteen

Timeforsinging81 · 15/06/2021 22:48

Bowie- Heroes (can't believe it's not been mentioned yet!)

Or Modern Love. Both are songs I just have to listen all the way through if they come on the radio 🥰

Hotel California - The Eagles

Tillygetsit · 16/06/2021 00:30

The Israelites Desmond Dekker. Just the first note and I feel happy which is odd because the lyrics are sad.

ViciousJackdaw · 16/06/2021 01:01

I couldn't choose a single, definitive song. One I've been listening to a lot over the past couple of weeks is Working Class Hero by John Lennon. Ask me again next month and it'll be something totally different.
