Ain't Nobody - Rufus and Chaka Khan.

Classic soul dance track with a hint of sadness. Fabulous.

@Daisypaisy

How Long Will I Love You, the Waterboys
The Whole of the Moon by The Waterboys a strong contender. Damn they've got some great songs
Anystarinthesky · 15/06/2021 21:16

'Teardrops' by Womack and Womack

NeverSurrender · 15/06/2021 21:21

Yellow Ledbetter Pearl Jam

poorbuthappy · 15/06/2021 21:23

Hollywood nights. Bob seager.

JewelGarden · 15/06/2021 21:25

Probably something by Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms or Sultans of Swing. I also love Mark Knopflers version of Coming Home but it does make me cry. Does anyone else find your favourite isn't necessarily the one that makes you feel happiest?

They sure do 😊

Such a hard question!

I think it's The Killers, Dustland Fairytale. But then I might change my mind tomorrow...

Lollipopbubblegum · 15/06/2021 21:32

Heart of Gold Neil Young.

I listen to music in an odd way. I find a new song or more often come back to an old song and listen repeatedly until I move on. I really hope my neighbours can't hear, would drive them mad.
This one sticks around, haven't had enough over the years.

MrsCatE · 15/06/2021 21:35

Harry Nilsson “Without you” [lip wobbles immediately]

mogtheexcellent · 15/06/2021 21:40

No way can I pick one...

Little motel -modest mouse
By the sea- suede
Breathless-nick cave
Sonething for myself- dark dark dark

I also love the acoustic version of 'coz I love u' by noddy holder Blush. It was in The Grimleys tv comedy 20 odd years ago, I had to buy the soundtrack.

RaraRachael · 15/06/2021 21:41

Somewhere from West Side Story

Blackcountryexile · 15/06/2021 21:46

Make You Feel My Love Adele

suckingonchillidogs · 15/06/2021 21:46

Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac. Love the vocals, melody, guitar, all of it

intheenddoesitreallymatter · 15/06/2021 21:52

Come sail away - styx. The opening never fails to make me sob.

Did you know that this wasn't actually his song? Always wound me up when the Mariah Carey cover come out and was described as 'Nilsson's classic' !!
WeMarchOn · 15/06/2021 21:59

@D0D0 big Pentatonix fan here 🙋🏻‍♀️

Ironfloor269 · 15/06/2021 22:00

Hammer to fall by Queen

Littlefluffyclouds13 · 15/06/2021 22:01

@WeatherwaxOn

Quite a few I really like here. I'm going to go with the Dinosaur Jr cover of Just Like Heaven.
@WeatherwaxOn Love this song!! It was a close contender when deciding what to walk down the aisle to but I did a weird walk every time I tried walking 'beautifully' to itGrin
WeatherwaxOn · 15/06/2021 22:03

@Littlefluffyclouds13 you're the only person I've ever come across (other than my immediate family) who have heard of it.

I did think about 'Nothing Else Matters' for our first dance, but we opted for something more traditional in the end!

It's always very exciting coming across a kindred spirit on here isn't it?Smile

Timeforatincture · 15/06/2021 22:11

OK - today it is Lord Douglas by Jim Moray

Could be something else tomoirrow

WhatLiesAhead · 15/06/2021 22:16

For Crying out Loud by Meatloaf

Thelnebriati · 15/06/2021 22:21

It depends on my mood, but I'll probably go with We Do What We're Told (Milgram's 37) by Peter Gabriel.
