If money was no object where would you go?

I'm in a very lucky position of owning two properties and having a kid going to board next year. I also have a lump sum coming in around that time (over 250k) and am feeling that I can finally "relax" and spend some time on me. I'm tempted to spend some time exploring the world but as a 40+ year old lady I feel out of touch with what kind of travelling I should be looking at. Obviously I don't want to drain all of it, but having some ideas and dreams would go a long way! Or is travelling a massive no-no, even next year? What else would you do with the money to make you feel exciting again?

My top 5 would be Namibia, Japan, Belize, Brazil (specifically the Amazon) and Uzbekistan.

South Africa or Japan. Both look amazing.

I'd go to Argentina and Chile then to Easter island, Fiji and New Zealand.
That's my when I have a block of time and money dream trip.

If you go to Japan then definitely go for an extended stay. Most people just spend a day at each of the major sites, obviously for practicality and financial reasons, but there is so much to see and do and a longer stay let’s you really enjoy the place. A day spent just browsing the stores and having lunch/dinner in an area of Tokyo is an experience in itself. It’s super common there for people to dine alone. Which I like, as I go on my own often. Outside of covid I’ve been to Japan every year for the past 10 years. I have travelled across the country on some trips but others have been spent just in and around Tokyo. I never get bored of it.

I'm just here to say how envious I am OP! Would you like a new friend to carry your suitcase?!

If you go to Japan spend at least 4 days in Kyoto. There is SO much to see. I'd love to go back and spend another week there at least. Incredible, magical place.
