It's 1.30am - why are you still up?

I'm waiting for Ds2 to come home - he's 18 and finished school today. Spoke to him about 11.30 (been out since 4.30) and he said "love you mum" so clearly drunk.

Last message 30 mins ago "we are helping a girl who's drunk" good, lovely!

My baby is poorly and in hospital, having an unsettled hour so I’m watching over him 😢

CliffsofMohair · 22/05/2021 03:24

DC2 awake since 1.30

Blubberingmess1 · 22/05/2021 03:33

@GintyMcGinty so glad you are getting some answers and not having to wait too long. Good luck with the lumbar puncture. I didn't find it painful but it was just really difficult to lie still for so long when you are feeling so terrible. Then again I was already in pain so might not have noticed !!

ShroomShroom · 22/05/2021 03:42

My knee hurts and has kept me from sleeping so came down to get painkillers, a drink and some fruit. Have been joined by the cat (who is fast asleep on my lap) and 8 year old DD who woke up, saw the light downstairs and came down in case it was burglars! Have suggested that it might have been wiser to get mummy or daddy rather than come to investigate herself Shock

Cuddling my newborn who I had via section yesterday and googling when I’ll be able to walk normally again. Came home from hospital at 7 and feel ill never walk properly again

aibutohavethisusername · 22/05/2021 03:51

My sleep pattern is up the wall.

Lovemusic33 · 22/05/2021 04:14

Im awake as I'm in pain following surgery. Contemplating getting up and taking tramadol, not due to take other meds until breakfast time 😭. I had key hole surgery so trapped gas is driving me nuts as well as bruising. I'm so tired but can't sleep. Dd will be waking up in a hour 😭

So sorry to those of you in pain ☹️ I had a section and trapped wind was awful, ask for help if you need it.
I’ve been awake since 3 🙄 had a really busy, stressful week at work and I find it hard to wind down sometimes. It’s also looking more hopeful I’ll be able to go on a short break away next week in the Uk so i can’t sleep thinking about that.

finished31 · 22/05/2021 04:41

DD 19 has gone out with a friend. She was getting the last train home, then a taxi to now sleeping in friends (only after I messaged her at 3:30 asking where are you).

No idea who this friend is. I know she is 19 but it's still a worry.

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 22/05/2021 04:46

On Nights and on my break. Been lively!

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 22/05/2021 04:47

@Mishmased

I just had a baby yesterday so up feeding.
Aww congratulations !!!
Cat368368 · 22/05/2021 05:01

Feeling heartbroken, and starting to doubt that I will ever get over him Sad

Impatientwino · 22/05/2021 05:09

Wine related insomnia. I sleep so terribly after alcohol but never seem to be able to resist the lure of a few drinks after a stressful week!

Youngest DS will be awake shortly and we are out at friends for the evening and that always goes late with them so it's going to be a long day!

I reckon I'll drift back off approximately 4 minutes before he wakes up Grin

My eldest is currently nearly 9 so I'm a way off waiting for him to come in but I'm not looking forward to it!

Hope your DS didn't keep you up much later!

Congratulations to those with new squishy babies Thanks

Mishmased · 22/05/2021 05:14

Thanks @SakuraEdenSwan1

Im awake cos am having an horrendous week. Second night in a row i haven't been able to sleep at all too much going on in head with physical and mental health. Very stressed. Nearly gave in and phoned local mental health hospital about 3.30 am. Might try and have a little nap but not very hopeful.

BTV2000 · 22/05/2021 05:35

Just picked up my husband from a boozy night out after he said he would be staying with friends 🤦🏻‍♀️

thefishthatcouldwish · 22/05/2021 05:40

Sorry to everyone really struggling last night.

Am awake coz am 39 weeks pregnant and peeing for Britain. The dog managed to get upstairs —I— can’t have locked the stair gate to stop him and pooed on the bathroom floor next to the toilet. I swear he is half human.

I had an emergency c section with my twins honestly the more you are on your feet shuffling around the better you'll recover- I managed just on paracetamol. Because my twins were in NICU in a different part of the hospital and then moved to a hospital miles away i had to get mobile pretty quick. I'd say I was walking "normally" about 2-3 days and was driving in 2 weeks

It was about a week for me. Days 2-3 were the worst. Feels like the worlds about to drop out of your scar.
Mishmased · 24/05/2021 11:11

Thanks @Naz2009

Mishmased · 24/05/2021 11:13

@workingmummyof2soontobe3 hope you feel better soon. I had my section Friday evening and hated the loss of control of my legs. I was up Saturday morning and today is day 3 and i feel much better. Hope your mobility has returned. Congratulations.

workingmummyof2soontobe3 · 24/05/2021 11:46

@Mishmased congratulations to you too, today is day 4 for me and I definitely get stronger each day. The recovery is rough though eh.
