It's 1.30am - why are you still up?

I'm waiting for Ds2 to come home - he's 18 and finished school today. Spoke to him about 11.30 (been out since 4.30) and he said "love you mum" so clearly drunk.

Last message 30 mins ago "we are helping a girl who's drunk" good, lovely!

Crappy day
More of the "why is life so hard" thing.

andivfmakes3 · 22/05/2021 02:21

I’m in Canada, 7 hours behind.

Aww!
andivfmakes3 · 22/05/2021 02:29

@Ostara212

Its cute but soooo loud 🤣 I didn't realise such young babies "talked" so much as older DD didn't until she was several months older - must be a twin thing! 🤣

Still up as I collected my 18 year old at 1 who finished school today been in the pub since 3 🙄 took him and his mates to McDonald's they're all fast asleep & I'm wide awake 🤦🏻‍♀️

ZombiePara · 22/05/2021 02:31

@medlarmeddler

What's really confusing me is can I go to sleep and assume she will be there until morning or do I need to call a and e and maybe need to go and get her at some time in next few hours. Argh :-(
On the off chance you're still awake.. get some sleep. If the hospital need to contact you they will, but they will keep her in fir a few hours just for basic tests, and potentially some repeat bloods depending on what they find, and won't kick someone of the older age out at 0600.

Get what rest you can, keep your phone by you, and remember that you mum will need you tomorrow, more than awake and worrying now Thanks

@DentonsFringeArnottsWaistcoat

Because my elderly greyhound is barking. She’s going to pretend it’s because she needs to go out for a nighttime wee, but we both know it’s really because she wants me to let her in to the sitting room to snooze on the rug. We also both know I’ll let her Grin
Grin awww
Elephantino · 22/05/2021 02:32

Can't sleep as my father received a terminal diagnosis earlier todaySad

GintyMcGinty · 22/05/2021 02:33

I'm in hospital waiting for a CT scan and maybe a lumbar puncture to make sure I've not got clots after my vaccine.

Can't sleep for all the noises in the wards and woman along from me snoring.

RaeRaeMama · 22/05/2021 02:34

Breastfeeding. She's sleeping badly tonight, probably because I couldn't get her to sleep properly in the day

Definately · 22/05/2021 02:36

@Elephantino and @GintyMcGinty Thanks

I fell asleep at half 9 after putting DS to bed and DH woke me at 2am going to bed himself, I had to get up for a wee and take my night time insulin. Then next doors TV was really loud so I gave a knock on the wall and he turned it off and I'm feeling strangely guilty that I interrupted his loud 2am TV watching Confused

MonicaGellerBing · 22/05/2021 02:42

Sore throat and a wriggly 4 year old who I have finally managed to get back in her own bed. Hopefully I'll get some sleep before waking for her 9am dance class 😭

IHaveBrilloHair · 22/05/2021 02:45

I had a person on drugs trying to get into my house and banging on my windows for an hour so had to deal with the Police when he was reported.
I've had better nights.

Blubberingmess1 · 22/05/2021 02:47

This same thing happened to me after my first jab. I was rushed through a&e. They kept telling me not to panic. The more they told me not to panic, the more i panicked. I am still not over that damn vaccine even 2 months later.

Blubberingmess1 · 22/05/2021 02:48

That was to @GintyMcGinty

GintyMcGinty · 22/05/2021 02:51

@Blubberingmess1

It's my 2nd. Was fine after first. Every time the take my blood pressure I get white coat syndrome and it goes mad.

Blacktothepink · 22/05/2021 02:57

Body clock mayhem after doing a run of night shifts so thought I may as well take advantage and drink wine Wine

violetbunny · 22/05/2021 02:57

Because it's daytime where I live?

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 22/05/2021 02:59

i'm doing nights!

Blubberingmess1 · 22/05/2021 03:01

@GintyMcGinty i had my second jab today after liads of tests. Was given clot busting drugs. I have been made a case study apparently. That jab was the worst decision I ever made and has left me in a mess mentally and physically. I am not antivax but I cannot ignore what has happened with this jab.

ZombiePara · 22/05/2021 03:10

Just come to bed after trying out ex BIL's PS5... sounds like a waste of time, but would have been struggling to sleep regardless and probably have had Netflix on.

Alarm set for 5 hours from now, and still sleep evades me.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 22/05/2021 03:20

I don’t sleep well really.

Did tonight and then had another nightmare. So that’s me again.

Flowers to all those who are having a rotten time of it.

GintyMcGinty · 22/05/2021 03:22

@Blubberingmess1

Back from the CT scan and waiting on results
