Any ideas? Suddenly find just the two of us are around and would love to watch something interesting and not really just a mindless blonde chic flick. But not too heavy ...

Don't tell Mom, the Babysitter's Dead
Hidden Figures
Wild

I have remembered the scene with the dead mouse. It wasn’t nice, but it wasn’t frightening, well it wasn’t too me. Anne is a 13 year old orphan. So it’s suitable for a teenager. It depends if your Dd is squeamish or not?

A couple of dds friends have watched dirty dancing (yr 6) but I won't yet because if that.

However I did find out earlier that dh let them watch the Blues Brothers so you know, glass houses etc (I am thinking especially the scene with the Penguin).

Another friend has watched titanic but again not on the cards, not because of the sex scene but because it's bloody awful. Dd1 would love it though.

Moxie! Perfect teenage girl film that's uplifting and girl power not all boys and drama

Pitch Perfect
Freaky Friday

Someone has beaten me to it suggesting Moxie. To All the Boys I've Loved Before is sort of a chick flick but great. Both Netflix.

Fighting with my Family, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Instant Family also good.

About A Boy, Truman Show, Clueless, The Wedding Singer, Meet the Parents, Legally Blonde for something older.

Great suggestions thank you. Some we have watched in the past, some are a no but quite a few are on my list for future film nights.
Thanks everyone.
