I’ve just had turkey dinosaurs, chips and beans.

Also very partial to sausage egg and chips.

What’s your favourite?

Dippy egg and toast soldiers

FedUpWithBriiiiick · 15/05/2021 23:11

Chicken goujons and buttered pasta topped with grated cheese. Food of the gods!

SquirtleSquad · 15/05/2021 23:50

Eggy bread!!

Holothane · 15/05/2021 23:51

Fish finger sandwiches love them
Mini chicken Kiev
Egg and chips.

JamieLeeCurtains · 15/05/2021 23:57

Spaghetti on toast.

I used to eat the kids' cold leftovers when I was exhausted.

doghairismyglitter · 16/05/2021 09:13

Bernard Matthews hamwiches dunked in tons of mayo!

MintyCedric · 16/05/2021 09:45

Mmmm childhood puddings.

I've actually got a packet of butterscotch Angel Delight in the cupboard, so that might have to happen later.

Also Arctic roll with a smiley face drawn on with chocolate sauce Smile.

Chocolate sponge with Chocolate custard

Viennetta

At school we'd have little pots of mandarin yoghurt with short read fingers sometimes. Sounds weird but it was one of my favourites.

Does anyone remember coffee crunch? It was a packet mix that resulted in a coffee flavoured cheesecake.

Yellowhighheels · 16/05/2021 10:26

Veggie kiev (M&S for preference), or nuggets, chips and peas. And a lot of ketchup.

midnightstar66 · 16/05/2021 10:30

Crispy pancakes- must be fried not baked how wet the new ones aren't a patch on the original.

Are you serious???? How utterly revolting and what a pile of crap... please don't tel me you actually feed your own children this rubbish?????

Grin I know there would be one of these. Did not disappoint!

startrek90 · 16/05/2021 10:57

Depends really where I am.

At my nans it was sausage chips and beans (egg chips and beans for my sister) followed by tinned rice pudding and jam or tinned fruit and tip top (anyone remember that?).

At school it was turkey twizzlers and beans followed by jam and coconut sponge with custard (always served on a Thursday).

At home it was chicken Kiev with some sort of pasta and sauce (chicken and mushroom or tomato and basil) followed by Angel delight with some squirty cream on.

I should stress that my mum and nana were excellent cooks who cooked really lovely, healthy meals for us; these are just their 'can't be arsed' meals and as kids we loved them

Breaded haddock, oven chips, peas, tartare sauce 😁
I usually have spinach with it too but only cos I feel grown ups should. All from freezer.

Cheese and tomato sandwiches

Eggs and toast in all it’s glorious forms.

There’s always one isn’t there. UP YOUR BUM judgemental PP - food is a magical thing, closely connected to our emotions and history as well as nutrition - it’s not a prescription.

BearSoFair · 16/05/2021 12:06

Sausage, mash, and spaghetti hoops. I really fancy it now!

BearSoFair · 16/05/2021 12:07

I should specify really cheap crappy sausages, none of the nice high meat content ones, they just don't work with the hoops Grin

TomorrowsPrincess · 16/05/2021 12:16

Cheese crispy pancakes, home made chips and beans with butter in 😊

midnightstar66 · 16/05/2021 12:18

@BearSoFair the little skinless ones aimed at toddlers work best - utter garbage in good quality but also delicious!

sueelleker · 16/05/2021 14:10

Sausage, peas and mash; with loads of gravy.Real comfort food on a cold/wet day.

AgeLikeWine · 16/05/2021 14:14

Fish fingers, mash, peas & parsley sauce. From a packet mix, obv, none of your posh cheffy stuff.

CurryLover55 · 16/05/2021 14:20

DM used to give us Swiss roll & custard - so good!
I love what my friend calls “ cafe tea” which is sausages, egg, chips & beans.
Forgotten about crispy pancakes!
Another vote for fishfinger sandwiches
My go to snack after a night out used to be chicken nuggets dipped in guacamole!
