What to eat with a banana

I have overbought bananas for some reason so thinking of different things to eat them with. I like a banana on its own but also with cream and sugar or chopped with muesli. I also add them to a curry. Oh and banana bread of course. Any more suggestions?

Banana in curry is fab. (Although it sounds a bit bonkers.)

My mum used to make "Swedish chicken" when she was feeling posh: two red apples, two green apples, three bananas, handful of sultanas. Chop up the fruit, add a couple dollops of Mayo and a couple dollops of creme fraiche, two teaspoons of curry powder, give it a stir. Strip down a cooked chicken, chop the meat and mix with the fruit. Serve with rice. My favourite childhood dinner.

spread them with mustard and wrap in streaky bacon. grill/shallow fry/bbq

sounds weird but tastes great

I use the Jamie Oliver korma sauce from his Ministry of food book, but I blend it as I don't want the whole chickpeas in this case.
Basically, make the sauce, and heat the sliced bananas just before serving.
The sauce freezes brilliantly too.

On top of porridge. Or freeze (peeled) and blend in smoothies.

Porridge, full fat milk and banana. Food of the Gods!

I blend them with ice cold oat milk and peanut butter! It's my idea of a perfect post-workout drink. Smile

@sashh

Get a piece of foil, add bananas, sprinkle with sugar and put in the oven for 19-15 mins, or on the BBQ.

Peel and freeze - put in a blender and have 'vegan icecream'

I would add a slosh of rum or brandy to that first suggestion. With really good vanilla icecr3sm or extra thick double cream.

Banana sandwiches, plain or in the toastie maker

Banana Foster, takes vanilla ice cream to a new level, you can leave out the alcohol for small children.

Banana split, 1950s reto pudding, also see Knickerbocker Glory.

Served sliced with a squeeze of lemon juice as a side dish to curry, sliced tomatoes, grated/flaked coconut and flaked almonds complete the set.
