Films/Shows that you thought you'd love but didn't.

What films/shows disappointed you?

There's so many but the first that comes to mind for me is Amadeus. I love Mozart and I love Biopics but I hated this. It took me several attempts to get through it. I thought it was so dull and Mozart was utterly insufferable.(Probably the point but he annoyed me so much that I gave up.

Another is The Grand Budapest Hotel. I love Ralph Fiennes and I thought it looked funny and utterly charming but I really didn't enjoy it. Having tried a few other Wes Anderson films, I think that he just isn't for me.

The Wire. People raved about it, someone recommended it to me as “the best series ever made”. Couldn’t get through S1.
Me too! Every few years I try again. Nope.

Suits - I have two friends who love it. I thought it would be at least entertaining but it doesn't seem to have any plot beyond "oh no someone is trying to destroy our law firm...oh it's saved" over and over again.

The Greatest Showman - really wanted to like this but it's like they got so caught up in the spectacle they forgot to write much of a story.

La la land - so boring

Breaking Bad. I think because I'd watched it due to a friend who had raced about it to the point that I expected it to change my life. Shame as there are some amazing episodes in series 2 but I just suddenly couldn't bear to live with these cartoony people any more.

The TV sense and sensibility a few years ago. Completely forgettable.

Real house wives of anywhere series, utter rubbish

Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. They both went on for far too long.

The Greatest Showman couldn't wait to see it but it didn't live up to my expectations.

La Bohem was just so boring. ( I love opera too)
