What shortages do you notice in the shops?

I can't remember where I bought a glass bottle of Coca Cola Yalang Yalang a while ago, I now can't find it anywhere.

Americans are apparently experiencing a shortage of chicken.

Are shortages sorted now, are we still in 'Feed the nation' mode?

Pet food. PlayStation 5s.

I think it's a good thing we have far to much choice maybe this what we need to go back to basics.

Yes I’ve noticed you can’t get one pinters of milk.
Random about marmite. I haven’t noticed but I tend to buy the big jars and haven’t had to replenish for a while , I knew it was made from brewers yeast but didn’t know lockdown had reduced production

It's not random about marmite at all!!
It's a by product of brewing. What has been closed for most of the past year?? PUBS no brewing, no marmite!!

But it's all fine again now

I've seen on Another Forum (gasp) that it's very hard to get hold of fancy French wellington boot brands at the moment.

Nearly everything at Argos

I noticed IKEA has discontinued a few things, still sad about the ekebol.

Fresh produce sections have been looking a little thin over the last couple of months, and not just in the seasonal way.

Persil washing powder. Other brands were scarce too but not as bad. I mentioned it at the checkout and they said other people had said the same. I wondered if it’s manufactured in Europe and hit by brexit. I’ve seen Persil since but its nowhere near around as much as before. Oh and those Vileda rope mop heads, I’ve had to order online or can get them in Wilko but everywhere else has stopped selling them. The crappy ribbon type ones are rubbish.

Fruit and veg is terrible quality at the moment, even at the expensive supermarkets like M&S.

Children’s shoes seem impossible to find in many sizes and the prices seem to have risen a lot.

We’re still waiting for a school uniform delivery ordered on March 9th!

I’ve never heard of that coke either - I thought ylang ylang was more of a perfume ingredient than something you ate!

I’ve noticed:
Printers
Greenhouses
Exercise equipment (stationary bikes etc)
Peppers

I sympathise with people trying to get hold of IKEA pax wardrobes- we had this struggle last year and just bought bits as they became available in the end.

Ikea Garden Furniture

Report

There is a global shortage of furniture wood, hence IKEA having serious problems. It took us until last week to finally order the last bookcases DD misses since beginning of January.

Our supermarket is lacking salad and French/Italian wines.

Nothing! I haven't noticed any gaps on the shelves. To PP who buys Persil, so do I and my local Tesco has had it each time I buy.

My daughter has had her furniture order delayed by several months. She was told it was because it was being made in India. Also there's a shortage of the foam that goes into sofas so that's having a knock on effect.

Yes. I got a Tesco delivery last week and all the fruit was battered. The satsumas are weird too. I'm going to go to our local fruit and veg shop for fresh stuff and just use Tesco for tinned/frozen/cupboard stuff, from now on.

Red peppers, marmite and cat food

I understand the marmite thing (yeast) and kind of understand red peppers (they're more popular, plus brexit import bollocks) but cat food is really random and they've been short for MONTHS now

Ahahaha, I have Marmite XO.

We did struggle to get a small garden shed though. No-one had any in stock for months unless I wanted to pay thousands.
