If you had to live in another country where would you choose?

Inspired by the other thread discussing Canada....

If you had to live in a different country where would you choose?

We have eyed up Canada, but really I struggle with the grey depressing weather here, so if I was pushed I would probably go for somewhere in Europe like France or Italy.

I would be open to Australia but I know my DH wouldn't be keen, and I would worry about how they will fare in the future with climate change.

Greece. Probably an Island.

New Zealand. We went there on our honeymoon, came home and started filling in the forms for me to get professional registration there, apply for a job then we would have got a visa. It looked like a great place to live (though we were considering Auckland and probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it in reality). In the end we bought a house here and had DC. I wouldn’t want to take DC away from their grandparents or sit with them on the flight now, but, if I had to choose somewhere, that is where I would go.

We spend a lot of time thinking about this. I think I could live in Lisbon, or Copenhagen.
Have never been to Canada but think it could be on the list. Did live in Australia for a bit but it’s too far away and not diverse enough for me longer term.

I’ve lived in 6 countries outside the UK and would probably give anywhere a go under the right circumstances.

Given the choice of places I haven’t lived in before, I’d go for Italy, Peru or Sri Lanka.

Cape Cod for me.

I adored South Africa, but it's a difficult lifestyle so probs wouldn't actially.
We did apply to Canada earlier in family life, but illness in family affected our decision to go.
Iceland ,what a great country! Not sure I could cope long term with light and weather.

Pretty much anywhere but need the in-laws to die first. So might be a few years and at least both my DDs want to live abroad so it might be I just travel to see them.

Lived in Ireland, Malta, Saudi and the US.
